Quick Beer Review - Brasserie Breughel Bière de Nöel
Our review of Brasserie Breughel Bière de Nöel which is a extra strong 11% dark ale Christmas beer.
Lots of coriander and organic cane sugar.
The pour gave the beer a thick head and very dark rusty color with sediment in the bottle due to the brewing process. It didn't taste like a heavy beer and had a nice carbonization to it with little bitterness.
They are quite unique as compared to the other micro brews from quebec.
They are located off highway 20 a few minutes from Riviere du loup.

Breughel La Geuze - White Beer Review
We went for a hike and tried some other beers from Brasserie Breughel from Kamouraska.
Flavored white wheat beer en liesse with curacao, coriander. Off the nose, it has a nice citrus smell. The head poured very thick and creamy. Dense bubbles. As a conditioned bottled beer, plenty of sediment swimming around, especially since we were hiking a few kms before stopping.
We tasted, banana orange, very little bitterness but with some sweetness. This would pair well with cheese and seafood. We found this to be quite pleasant for a summer day.

Breughel - Grand Cru - Beer Review
The third brew from Bruegel in Kamouraska. This one is barley malt and coriander and tops off at 12% ABV. Abby style beer. Very malty on the nose. A darker color than the previous ones we've tried.
A little bit of a bread taste at the end, no alcohol burn. The sour taste is also part of the lambic fermentation process. Not overwhelming at all for something that is as strong as wine.
We were quite surprised by this one.
