Richmond KOA Campground in Richmond Indiana provides full hookup RV and tent camping adjacent to I-70 exit 153 (but note you need to exit at 151 and backtrack to the park). Rows of sites with easy access for any size RV the Richmond KOA Campground has a small lake on site.
Located directly adjacent to the interstate the park is tucked back off the highway so road noise is at a minimum. Access to the park is a little tricky as it is not right off of an exit you need to circle around through rural farm roads (where we recommend taking it easy to avoid jostling your contents in the RV around). The entire park has gravel roads and gravel sites with nicely mowed grass all around. Well-appointed the park has multiple playgrounds, a pool, dog runs, a small lake with boats, canoes, and catch release fishing. There are trails out in the back. RV sites are large enough to handle most size rigs there no super size sites but bigger rigs can fit inside park.

Ford Model T Museum - Richmond, IN
Recently we got back on the road to finish the last 6 continental USA states that we missed on our cross country trip a year ago! After those are done, just Hawaii will remain!
After leaving our Nephew John Long’s wedding on Sunday, we headed to Catskill, NY to visit our friends Rick & Sherry Shanks. From there we headed southwest toward Richmond, IN to visit one of my ‘Bucket List’ destinations, the Ford Model T Museum!
The Ford Model T Museum chronicles the famous Tin Lizzy from inception thru 15 million cars spanning 1908 to 1927! My car is a 1913 and called a Brass car based on all the brass used for the radiator and lights. While there we learned of a 2016 Homecoming Celebration next June and we are thinking of attending. I even inquired about possibly donating my car to the Museum someday…

Richmond Indiana 1884 Panoramic Bird's Eye View Map 6861
Panoramic Maps, also known as Bird's Eye View, aerial view, or perspective maps. These were a popular form of art at the turn of the 20th century depicting a city's key points of interest.
Unlike traditional maps, Panoramic maps often highlighted the commercial aspects of a town, while also clearly showing many local residences.
I've had a lot fun looking up places I've been to on these maps -- and I've gotta say - It's amazing just how much things change -- and also how much things stay the same.
