Midland Square is Nagoya's tallest building, located right opposite from Nagoya Station. The 247 meter tall skyscraper opened in 2007, adding to the increasing number of skyscrapers around Nagoya's city center. The first four stories and the basement of the building are occupied by many shops, chic boutiques, restaurants and cafes. There is also a movie theater on the fifth floor.

(Day) Nagoya Midland Square - 2 (4) AWESOME Mitsubishi Double-Deck Scenic Traction Lifts (Group E)
No words could explain how FAST they are! Also these are DOUBLE DECK! And they are also SCENIC!!! This whole video is totally a must-watch for everyone.
So these two (or four if you count each car separately) lifts are manufactured by Mitsubishi in the model NEXCUBE (At least I think it is but it could be not because it's a double deck). The upper deck serves floors 1 and 42, but in rush hours when workers use them to go up and down, they also serve floor 24. Same as Group F, but when I filmed it, it served only 1 and 24 and not 42 so I didn't bother filming it. The lower deck here serves B1 and 41, and 23 in the rush hours. So basically these two lift groups (E and F) are shuttle lifts to the Sky Restaurants (41F) and the Sky Promenade (42F). Notice that these lifts have custom door open and door close buttons. Instead of the conventional symbols, they use text instead. All of the lifts here have custom LCD indicators which aren't that interesting, but the buttons and indicators have a custom font as opposed to Gill Sans which Mitsubishi always uses. According to my calculations, they are 6 m/s. The ceiling on these are quite tall. At the end of the video, you could see three of the lifts (two from Group F) bunched up together. There were some points when the lifts say The lower car is now in service or The upper car is now in service and the lifts don't move until the message disappears from the screen. Now this is not something to freak out about, but actually a message to the passengers that the other deck still has its doors open to let in/out passengers so it won't move (because double deck lifts are attached to each other). Mitsubishi should've made the message more clear though, because it would freak some passengers out if they didn't know the lift they are in is double deck.
This was filmed on a drizzly Nagoya afternoon so the sky isn't that appealing. I should've filmed it someday else, my apologies.
IMPORTANT NOTICE (1): This is the daytime ride so there will be a retake for the nightime ride coming up very soon! (Update, here it is:
IMPORTANT NOTICE (2): There will be a coin test of these lifts coming up too!
