冰潔如玉，景色秀美的米堆冰川 Beautiful Mi Dui Glacier with Jade-like Ice
米堆冰川位於林芝地區波密縣玉普鄉米美、米堆兩村附近，由於冰舌海拔較低，可以輕易地近距離觀賞。米堆冰川形狀俊秀，被《中國國家地理》雜誌評為六大最美冰川之一。
這裡是念青唐古拉山與伯舒拉嶺的接合部，米堆冰川在米堆河的上游，米堆河是雅魯藏布江下游的二級支流，它在川藏公路84公里道班處，從帕隆藏布南岸匯入帕隆藏布。米堆冰川位於波密縣玉普鄉境內，距縣城103公里，離318國道8公里，最近的村莊離此地僅有2公里，是西藏最重要的海洋性冰川，也是我國境內海拔最低的冰川。冰川主峰海拔6800米，雪線海拔只有4600米，米堆冰川雪線較低，而冰瀑長，非常的壯觀。因為雪線低，雪線以下不遠處就有茂密的森林和冰湖，同時由於山體的岩石以紅色為主，這就形成了多彩的色彩，白雪皚皚，彩雲朵朵，森林綠鬱蔥蔥，山峰火紅，這一切倒映在冰湖中，形成五彩斑斕的米堆冰川。
常年雪光閃耀、景色神奇迷人。冰川冰潔如玉，景色秀美，形態各異，姿色醉人。冰川下端是針闊葉混交林地，皚皚白雪終年不化，鬱鬱森林四季常青，頭裹銀帕，下著翠裙。由於冰面氣溫較暖，常年生活著冰蚯蚓、冰蚤和其他各類微生物。受喜瑪拉雅山東段的氣候影響，米堆冰川末端的溫度卻比更北的博格多山的冰川還要低，是我國現代冰川中較為特殊的現象。
一路見到肥沃茂密森林，原木搭建的西藏屋子大多是2層，有曬台，曬台上支起木桿搭滿上年收貨的額麥稈和青稞桿，每家院子，長有高大喬木，樹旁插有風馬旗，隨風飄揚，置身這樣一個森林公園心神游離，離天堂真的好近。冰川、湖泊、農田、村莊、森立融匯一起，一派人與自然和諧畫面。經過村子後，要想與米堆冰川做近距離接觸的話，還要徒步走進層林盡染的森林，翻越三道冰川運動留下的終磧壟。當走上第三個終磧壟時，一個冰湖出現在眼前。冰湖的另一端有一道寬近兩米、高達十數米的斷裂的冰舌，發出幽幽的藍光。從天而下的冰瀑佈在陽光下閃著銀色的光芒，近800米的落差讓人感到一陣暈眩。一陣陣從冰川上吹來的寒風迎臉撲來，在強烈的陽光下，還是讓人不寒而栗。這就是一個壯美的精靈-米堆冰川。
Beautiful Mi Dui Glacier with Jade-like Ice
The Mi Dui glacier is located near the two village of MI Mei and Mi Dui in Yu Pu Township, Bomi County. Due to its low altitude, the ice tongue can be easily viewed at close range. The Mi Dui glacier is handsome and has been rated as one of the six most beautiful glaciers by Chinese National Geographic magazine.
This is the junction of Nyaqing Tanggula Mountains and Boshula Mountains. The Midui Glacier is in the upper reaches of the Midui River. The Midui River is the second tributary of the lower reaches of the Yarlung Zangbo River. It converges into the Palongzangbo from the southern bank of the Palongzangbo Highway at Daoban, 84 kilometers from the Sichuan-Tibet Highway. The Mi Dui glacier is located in the village of Yu Pu Township, Bomi County, 103 km away from the county town, 8 km away from the 318 National Road, and the nearest village is only 2 km away from the county. It is the most important marine glacier and the lowest glacier in China. The main peak of the glacier is 6,800 meters above sea level, and the snow line is only 4,600 meters above sea level. The ice line of the glacier in the Mi Dui is low, while the ice waterfall is long and very spectacular. Because the snow line is low, there are dense forests and ice lakes not far below the snow line. At the same time, the red rocks are the main rocks in the mountains, which form colorful scencery. The forest is green and luxuriant, and the mountains are red. All of this is reflected in the ice lake, forming five colorful Mi Dui glaciers.
The snow is shining all the year round and the scenery is magical and charming. The glacier is as clear as jade, with beautiful scenery, different shapes and intoxicating features. At the bottom of the glacier is a mixed forest of coniferous and broad-leaved forests, covered with white snow all the year round, evergreen forests all the year round, head wrapped in silver ribbon, under a green skirt. Because of the warmer temperature on the ice surface, ice earthworms, ice fleas and other kinds of microorganisms live all the year round. Affected by the climate in the Himalayan east section, the temperature at the end of the Mi Dui glacier is even lower than that of the more northernly Berg mountain glacier. It is a special phenomenon in the modern glaciers of China.
All the way to see the fertile and dense forests, the log houses were mostly built on 2 floors, with a sun terrace, with wooden poles attached to the sun terrace, full of wheat straw and highland barley poles that were collected last year. Every yard has tall trees, and a wind horse flag is planted beside the tree, flying in the wind. Glaciers, lakes, farmlands, villages and forests merge together to create a harmonious picture of man and nature. After passing through the village, if you want to make close contact with the Mi Dui Glacier, you have to walk into the forest dyed with forest layers and cross the final moraines left by three glacial movements. A glacial lake appeared in front of us as we stepped up to the third terminus. At the other end of the lake, there is a broken ice tongue nearly two meters wide and ten meters high, giving off a faint blue light. The ice falls from the sky shining silver in the sunlight. The drop of nearly 800 meters makes people feel dizzy. A cold wind coming from the glacier rushed to the face. It was still chilling in the strong sunlight. This is a magnificent Fairy - Midui Glacier.
