This is a single-pipe alpine coaster in Mieders, Austria. You reach the summit via a cablecar and then sit on a small car with a brake lever and off you go. Having ridden it once using a little braking, I decided to try it a second time without using the brakes. This is SCARY! Enjoy the ride!

Mieders Alpine Coaster & Water Play Park
The Mieders Alpine coaster or summer toboggan run is one of the top mountain attractions in the Innsbruck region. You will understand why once you’ve blitzed down the 2,8km track for the first time. Which is why I’m starting with a tip: Never buy only one ticket and end up paying double if you want to go again! Read all about the pricing structure and the other (free) mountain attractions of the Serlesbahnen in Mieders.

Mieders Alpine Coaster , no brakes
I made several trips down the slide in July, What a blast but really not nearly as fast as I had hoped. My guess is that they tighten the wheels so you can't exceed a safe speed. Much faster than I went and you'd be thrown out on the curves. Still plenty of great fun!

My first Rodelbahn experience on the longest rodeltrack of Austria! My wife is following me on the track, but she's less fast. Quite a rush!
