Join us again as we continue our slow tv 4k virtual tour of whitewashed Mijas Pueblo in Andalucia, on the Costa Del Sol just a few miles from Benalmádena. Do let us know any comments below, we always welcome them.

Watch and experience these short Mijas walks as if you were there.

Filmed at the start of March, we continue our Mijas tour on Calle Carril as it joins Plaza de La Libertad by Museo Historico-Etnologico, Casa Museo Municipal and the Catholic Church (Ermita San Sebastián.)

We detour through Calle de los Caños before making our way down to the cafes and restaurants that surround Plaza Virgen de la Peña.

This famous square also houses many shops and is the site for frequent concerts and performances. There's a glass scenic lift for easy access to the upper parts of Mijas and you can hire a horse drawn carriage for a leisurely Mijas tour.

We pass the Tourist Information Centre and the Mijas Burro Taxi rank, with it's waiting donkeys before finishing at the Mijas Pueblo Viewpoint with our backs to the Ermita de la Virgen de la Peña.

Join us for this slow tv 4k virtual tour of the Mijas Pueblo white village in Andalucia, just a few miles from Benalmádena. Experience one of the best Mijas walks as if you were there.

Filmed in early March, we start our Mijas tour with a view across the hills from the balcony over the Restaurants Oscar and La Alcazaba.

We enter Plaza de la Constitución for a great view across the square and then follow Calle Cuesta de la Villa past the old Church Tower towards the Mijas Pueblo Bullring (Plaza de Toros de Mijas.)

Following Paseo de la Muralla we pass the Catholic Church (Iglesia de la Inmaculada Concepción,) to explore the La Muralla gardens and their stunning views.

We pass the colourfully tiled Fuente Ornamental fountains and take the path by the side of the Auditorio De Mijas Pueblo to lead us back to Plaza de la Constitución via Calle Muro, lined with the region's characteristic hanging flower baskets as well as artisan shops, cafes and restaurants.

Mijas is a town in the Province of Málaga in the autonomous community of Andalusia in southern spain. Mijas Pueblo, a beautiful little village of Mijas, birthplace of the burro taxis, touristy carriages pulled by donkeys. Mijas is this beautiful town of white architecture. Andalucia is a land of culture, history, holiday, nature and very good food.The aroma of freshly made praline attracts and seduces everyone to a shop nearby. We bought few boxes of Freshly made Garrapiñadas, Candied almonds.They are a typical open air fair snack in Spain. handmade pottery, affordable paintings, prints by local artists.Sanctuary of the Virgin of the rock is one of the peaceful, serene and beautiful place of Mijas Pueblo.The chapel was excavated in solid rock. There is also quite a collection of rosaries, silver crosses of all sizes, and priestly ceremonial robes inside the chapel.The shrine of Our Lady the Virgin of the Rock was excavated in the rocks by a Carmelite, monk in the second half of the seventeenth century. We took some time to just walk around and admire the most beautiful white village in Andalucia..Walking on the streets of Mijas is an experience itself, with the streets going uphill and the white houses dressed in flowers. The economy of Mijas is primarily based on tourism, featuring local historical museums and many souvenir shops.Christmas Eve is called Nochebuena noche vuena in Spanish (Goodnight) and it is the most important family gathering of the year. In the evening people often meet early for a few drinks with friends then return home to enjoy a meal with the family. We had lunch at Pampa Tablas y Tapas, a very popular tapas in Mijas, Pueblo.Hoping to come back again to enjoy this white village as a backdrop to the Mediterranean,with cobbled, narrow winding streets, dazzling whitewashed walls and breathtaking views again, we headed to Malaga,Malaga is an ancient Mediterranean port town rich in culture, modernity and historical monuments. With its twenty eight hundred years of history, It is one of the oldest cities in Europe. It’s difficult to find a city in the world where so many civilizations have passed. The birthplace of Picasso, Malaga revels in its talented son and celebrates almost every aspect of his iconic life.The city, founded by the Phoenicians 2800 years ago, has been settled by Greeks, Carthaginians, Romans, Byzantines, Visigoths, Moors and Christians.We wandered through the streets enjoying the architecture, street art and the beautiful orange trees.You can see many large spanish heavy wooden doors with Marble surround at Plaza del Obispo. Spain is Europe’s largest orange producer.We enjoyed strolling down the streets of El Ejido enjoying the street singers and dancers. The orange or Naranja trees lining the streets are charming and fragrant.Spain is Europe’s largest orange producer.We made a stop to have spanish Bombon coffee,very tasty and energizing coffee.We walked towards the Malaga Cathedral. The Cathedral of Málaga is a Roman Catholic church in the city of Málaga . It is a national landmark, a milestone along the road and a witness to many events. The building is one of the best examples of Spanish religious art. it is located in the historic center of the city and is visible from any point of it. Málaga’s great cathedral is known locally as ‘La Manquita’ or ‘The One­Armed Woman’, due to its uncompleted second tower.Located in Old Town, Malaga Cathedral is a rather dominant building and truly quite the sight to see.Churros are a favorite treat for Spaniards and everyone is looking for the best churros in Malaga . We enjoyed hot chocolate and churros in the cold weather from Casa Aranda one of the most famous places.The central square in Malaga was decorated for Christmas with a beautiful illumination offering a light & music show. The show starts in the Plaza de la Constitución (constitution plaza), where there was a majestic Christmas tree next to the Christmas illuminations in the centre.After the show we walked around the church and happened to see a group of enthusiastic locals singing christmas carol .Sounds of the bells at Plaza de la Constitución (constitution Plaza) is something that both as a tourist and as the locals don’t want to miss. At constitution Plaza you can admire a beautiful carillon (kerәˌlän,ˈkerәlәn). This makes the city unique during the holidays.

Mijas is only 30 km from downtown Malaga. For mountain village a steep and winding mountain road leads to the village center. Placa Virgin de la Pena. Even from a distance you can see the typical Moorish whitewashed village houses, as they are fastened to the hillside. In the the whole village beautiful flower pots are placed. Fantastic bougainvillea, fragrant lavender and jasmine flourish.
Mijas Pueblo has been declared as village with artistic and historical value for its beauty -1969th. The Plaza del Toro Arena was built.
BULL FIGHTS ARE PROHIBITED IN CATALONIA, IN THE OTHER REGIONS ALTHOUGH CONTROVERSIAL BUT STILL ALLOWED - ANIMAL CRUELTY ! .-
Built in 1900. The building - Historical consevation - was constructed with a white façade, as is typical in the Andalusian villages of the region. The interior is in the Spanish national colors. This Arena is in this form unique. Nearby the Church of the Maria Immaculate Conception. It was built on the ruins of an old mosque after the victory over the Moors between 1541-1565. In the Plaza de la Constitucion are folkloric flamenco dances held - usually Wednesday morning .-

This is town you don't want to bypass or skip. Treat yourself to a half day or more of incredible views, beautiful buildings and main square, and plenty of restaurant and shopping choices to occupy your time. We loved the walk from one end to the other, a donkey cart taxi ride, music and flamenco dancing in the plaza, and a fabulous tapas lunch with sangria. One of our favorite days in Spain
