На территорию Китая мы заехали из Гонконга. Границу пересекали в Шеньчжене - из Гонконга до Гуанчжоу добрались на автобусе за 3 часа. В этот видео есть несколько кадров из Гуанчжоу - нам очень не повезло с погодой, поэтому задержались там всего на 2 дня, затем на поезде поехали в Шанхай. Билеты в купе купить не упели, поэтому были вознаграждены 16ю часами сидения.
Мы вдохновились классической китайской архитектурой в старом районе города. Прогулялись по набережной Вайтань вдоль реки Хуанпу.
Поднялись на высоченную телебашню и Настя даже вышла на стеклянный пол! Попробовали кукурузные шарики с азотом и еще много чего интересного.

Crowdfunding 2015 Percussion Clinic Campus tour in Taiwan and China
My name is Adam Davis and I am a doctoral teaching fellow at the University of North Texas College of Music. Ever since I was a kid, I've loved the sound of percussion. It's the reason that I pursued a career in music. In the past few years, I've been delving deeper into one of my favorite instruments, the marimba. Thanks to my many amazing teachers, I've learned a great deal and made some discoveries of my own. One of my dreams is to share my love of this instrument through performance and education.
This summer, thanks to my friends Kaipo Lan and Xinyue Zhang, I've been given the wonderful opportunity to fulfill some of my goals and with your help, I'll will be joining my friends in Taiwan and China. I'll be able to share some of my musical ideas with students in several clinics and performances. The tour will take us to the Taipei National University of the Arts, Taipei Municipal Fuxing Senior High School, National Keelung Senior High School, Shih Chien University, the Harbin New Concert Hall, and the Harbin Normal University College of Music. Kaipo and I will be presenting two topics in our clinics. I will be presenting some ideas on technique, tone production and sticking for the marimba and Kaipo will talk about his expirence with rudimental snare drum playing and how to apply these techniques in practice. Opportunities like this don't come around everyday and I'm very honored to share my love of music with these students.
