Video of Air Force Airplane Photo-Op That Caused Panic in New York City and Jersey City
4/27/09 -- The Defense Department conducted the photo opportunity, which involved two F-16s escorting the plane, a Boeing 747, over Battery Park City and up the Hudson River.
The large plane is the military version of the 747.
NEW YORK (WABC) -- A photo shoot involving an Air Force aircraft and two fighter jets led to hundreds of frightened calls from residents and workers in Lower Manhattan Monday.
The Defense Department conducted the photo opportunity, which involved two F-16s escorting the plane, a Boeing 747, over Battery Park City and up the Hudson River.
In coordination with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), the Presidential Airlift Group conducted a aerial photo mission in the New York City area on 27 Apr 2009. This mission, involving the VC-25 and an F-16, was conducted in conjunction with normally scheduled continuation training for assigned aircrew members. This mission was coordinated for the Upper New York Bay, south of the Holland Tunnel and in the Newark Bay north of the Staten Island Expressway between the hours of 1000L and 1030L.
The maneuver, part of a photo op, was coordinated in advance with the FAA and state and local officials.
The Defense Department coordinated the flight with FAA, Peters said, and we made the notifications to the city of New York, as well as the 311 and 911 centers, the NYPD, New Jersey State Police and various operations centers in the New York area.
City officials were notified, but not the general public.
Many frightened residents and workers in Lower Manhattan called authorities asking for information, and some buildings even self evacuated.
The planes flew over Lower Manhattan and in the vicinity of the Statue of Liberty during the 30-minute flight, between 10 a.m. and 10:30 a.m.

My New Life in USA 2019
Trenutna adresa porodice Kukavica je Atlantic City, New Jersey.
Driving Downtown - City Of Newark 4K - New Jersey USA
Driving Downtown Streets - Market Street - Newark New Jersey USA - Episode 32.
Starting Point: . Route: .
Newark is the largest city (by population) in the U.S. state of New Jersey, and the county seat of Essex County.[25][26] One of the nation's major air, shipping, and rail hubs, the city had a population of 277,140 in 2010.
Much of the city's retail and commercial developments are centered on Broad Street (the city's widest north/south boulevard, which once carried streetcars headed for Elizabeth and points south) and Market Street. The intersection of the two streets, known as Four Corners is widely considered to be one of the busiest in the state and at one time was considered the busiest in the country.[3]
Both Broad Street and Market Street are a bustle of activity crowded with numerous shops. Broad Street has many street vendors as well. At night however the streets are vacant and shops are closed. The City of Newark is committed to turning downtown into a 24-hour city, and the downtown area is slowly beginning to develop a 24-hour presence. The former Hahne's and Lefcourt buildings are going to be converted into condominiums beginning in 2005.[needs update] Rutgers–Newark has built a six hundred bed dorm on Central Avenue. An old office building on Clinton Street has already successfully been converted to luxury lofts. Additionally, 1180 Raymond across from Military Park - Newark's second tallest building - completed a $150 million conversion to luxury apartments in 2006.
Located in the heart of New Jersey's Gateway Region, Newark is the second-largest city in the New York metropolitan area, approximately 8 miles (13 km) west of Manhattan. Port Newark, the major container shipping terminal in the Port of New York and New Jersey, is the largest on the East Coast. Newark Liberty International Airport was the first municipal commercial airport in the United States, and today is one of its busiest.[27][28][29]
Newark is headquarters to numerous corporations, such as Prudential Financial, Audible.com, Panasonic Corporation of North America and PSEG. It is also home to several universities, such as Rutgers–Newark (including the law school and medical school), the New Jersey Institute of Technology, and Seton Hall University's Law School. Among others, its cultural and sports venues include the New Jersey Performing Arts Center, the Prudential Center, and the Bears & Eagles Riverfront Baseball Stadium.
Newark is divided into five political wards, and contains neighborhoods ranging in character from bustling urban districts to quiet suburban enclaves. Newark's Branch Brook Park is the oldest county park in the United States and is home to the nation's largest collection of cherry blossom trees, numbering over 5,000.
Economy
More than 100,000 people commute to Newark each workday,[99] making it the state's largest employment center with many white-collar jobs in insurance, finance, import-export, health-care, and government.[100] As a major courthouse venue including federal, state, and county facilities, it is home to more than 1,000 law firms. The city is also a college town, with nearly 50,000 students attending the city's universities and medical and law schools.[101][102] Its airport, maritime port, rail facilities, and highway network make Newark the busiest transshipment hub on the East Coast in terms of volume.[103][104]
Though Newark is not the industrial colossus of the past, the city does have a considerable amount of industry and light manufacturing.[105] The southern portion of the Ironbound, also known as the Industrial Meadowlands, has seen many factories built since World War II, including a large Anheuser-Busch brewery that opened in 1951 and distributed 7.5 million barrels of beer in 2007.[106] The service industry is also growing rapidly, replacing those in the manufacturing industry, which was once Newark's primary economy. In addition, transportation has become a large business in Newark, accounting for more than 17,000 jobs in 2011.[107]

The Mission of March for Our Lives NJ
“Not one more. We cannot allow one more child to be shot at school. We cannot allow one more teacher to make a choice to jump in front of a firing assault rifle to save the lives of students. We cannot allow one more family to wait for a call or text that never comes. Our schools are unsafe. Our children and teachers are dying. We must make it our top priority to save these lives.”
-March for Our Lives, the national organization
March for Our Lives New Jersey is the sister march of a national movement led and inspired by young activists from Parkland, Florida, who survived the mass shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School on February 14th.
Young people are dying at an alarming rate from misuse and abuse of firearms. Seven of the 96 people killed in the United States by gun violence are children and teens, according to the Brady Campaign. In 2016, the CDC reported that gun violence killed more 15 to 19 year olds than cancer, diabetes and heart disease combined.
Guns are also disproportionately used against young people of color, those of lower income brackets, and survivors of domestic violence.
But these tragedies are largely preventable. Studies show that with universal background checks and other common sense gun laws we can reduce the carnage.
We can stop the senseless violence.
So whatʼs stopping us?
Lawmakers are putting a price on childrenʼs lives and ignoring evidence in favor of campaign contributions from the gun lobby.
Now we say: NEVER AGAIN.
School hallways should not be war zones, and students should not be going home in body bags.
Together, as young people, we unite to demand justice, action, and government accountability.
As March for Our Lives, the national organization, says, “Change is coming. And it starts now, inspired by and led by the kids who are our hope for the future. Their young voices will be heard. Stand with us on March 24 — refuse to allow one more needless death.”
MARCH FOR OUR LIVES NJ is sponsored by:

Military Entrance Processing Station (MEPS) Overview
A Military Entrance Processing Station (MEPS) is where applicants for military service go to complete the enlistment process. There are 65 MEPS in the United States and Puerto Rico. Applicants who must travel a distance will receive free lodging at a nearby hotel. Meals and transportation are also provided at no cost.
Nicknamed Freedom's Front Door, MEPS are staffed with military and civilian professionals who carefully screen each applicant to ensure he or she meets the physical, academic and moral standards set by each Service. To do so, each applicant goes through the following steps:
- Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB) testing
- Career Counseling
- Physical Exam
- Background Screening
- Oath of Enlistment
Following the Oath, an applicant is now a full member of the U.S. Military. At this point, he or she may ship directly to Basic Training for his or her branch, or enroll in the Delayed Entry (or Enlistment) Program (DEP) and undergo training at a future time. It can be a long day, and a lot happens quickly, but applicants are briefed at every step by MEPS staff, and there is always help available should questions arise.
