Luganville Espiritu Santo Vanuatu 4K
Luganville is the second largest city of the South Pacific island nation of Vanuatu. We had the opportunity on our cruise with the Sun Princess for a day to get to know this area in the South Sea. We bathed in the Blue Hole Matevulu, felt the South Sea feeling on the beachfront near Luganville and snorkeled a sunken helicopter wreck from World War II. Before leaving we visited the many souvenir shops and a small local cafe, a successful day, as so often in the South Seas with little sun.

Espiritu Santo, Vanuatu. Join us as we venture up the RiRi River in a canoe to a Blue Hole. There, we play on a rope swing in the deep water. The fresh water bubbles up through limestone and is some of the clearest water you'll see anywhere. And the water is the most amazing blue color.

Markets in Luganville, Santo, Vanuatu
15.07.08: A slow view of produce for sale at the produce market in Luganville; Santo's largest town. Produce includes bananas, coconuts, wora wo (baskets) holding yams and manioc roots, bundles of taro, nous fruit, breadfruit, laplap leaf rolls and aelan cabbis on the table. Much activity happens under the tables, knock if you require service from the person feeding a child, working or resting below. Many mamas would stay overnight as happens in the Port Vila markets.
