A visit to the Millstream Falls after good rain finds ample water going over, these falls are near Ravenshoe in the Australian state of Queensland.

This waterfall is located near the town of Ravenshoe in North Queensland. The bird featured is the Laughing Jackass or Kookaburra.
The Mighty Millstream Falls
Plunging over the edge of a columnar basalt lava flow, Big Millstream Falls is reputedly the widest single-drop waterfall in Australia. A walking track leads to a viewing area over the falls. Here, in the rain shadow of the Great Dividing Range, the dry, open woodland vegetation is dominated by eucalypts.

The widest waterfall in Australia, Millstream Falls isn't tough to reach. In fact, a short 5-minute walk is all that's necessary to see the falls and the entire trail is paved.

The Base of Millstream Falls - Queensland Hiking
A walk to Millstream and Little Millstream Falls near Ravenshoe, North Queensland from back in December 2015. The falls are both on the same river and not too far away from each other, but require a short drive between them. The area was experiencing a drought while we were there, so the water flow was not nearly as high as it would typically be.

Little Millstream Falls
Little Millstream Falls sees to be a convergence of a handful of cascading waterfalls. The main attraction is the big Millstream Falls but these cascades are a favorirte, especially after some rains, the track is a little rough in the end but in very good conditions tha very edge of the lagoon can be reached with extreme care since it gets very slippery. Located near Ravenshoe, Atherton Tablelands, Queensland.
