MINALUNGAO NATIONAL PARK - The Paradise Valley Of The Philippines, Nueva Ecija

Today we visit minalungao national park in nueva ecija, as foreigners we call this place the paradise valley of the philippines for very good reason.

Getting to minalungao is just a 1 hour drive from the city nearby, upon arrival you just pay 100 pesos per person entry and then 50 pesos parking fee for the car.

Ounce you are inside minalungao national park this is when the fun begins and the beauty of nueva ecija is visible, you will be greeted with many food and drink stalls followed by a huge lake / river and a zipline going over head. The river looks ok but nothing special... take the short walk around the path and you will see bright green water which is the sign you are in the right place. At this point minalungao will be looking rather like paradise but the best is still to come. Keep walking until you come to the entry point into the water for swimming... this is the moment you have been waiting for to see just why we called this place the paradise valley of the philippines.

You will be greeted with such clear water that is super clear, so clear you can see the stones at the bottom. The water is not cold, you have options to hire a raft were you can eat you lunch on play music ect.

This place is truly beautiful and is not very known except maybe from people from this province or surrounding provinces. We had a amazing time here swimming in the mild current and watching people jump from the rocks.

Minaungao national park truly is a paradise in nueva ecija and deserves much more attention from local tourism, we hope one day to see nueva ecija on the lips of every filipino wanting to visit.

Minalungao National Park is a protected area of the Philippines located in the municipality of General Tinio, Nueva Ecija in Central Luzon. The park covers an area of 2,018 hectares centered along the scenic Peñaranda River bordered on both sides by up to 16-meter high limestone walls in the foothills of the Sierra Madre mountain range. It was established in 1967 by virtue of Republic Act No. 5100.

Minalungao National Park | Nueva Ecija Philippines

Minalungao National Park is located in Gen. Tinio Nueva Ecija Philippines. It is 3-4 hours travel from Manila.


It is a 1 day tour with:

* 1000 steps to cross where you need to walk into a man made stairs going to the peak of the mountain. You can see the beautiful view of the mountains nearby and the place utself was improved with a pathway, the Cross and pillars.

* Spelunking inside the cave, we were not able to enter the cave because there was an accident happened a week ago.

* Balsa Tour in the river, you need to rent the bamboo raft for only P100.00 per person min of 8 people for 4 hour use.


The river has deep part where you can cliff jump and dive however, most of it is knee to chest deep only for a 5'4 person.

Make sure you always wear your life vest because the life guards are strict.????

There are stalls and cafe within the area where you can buy foods, drinks and other stuffs. The cafe serves a good breakfast and food. The rice and food is the best ????????????

Souvenir area is available in the area as well but make sure to buy some before 5:00PM because they are closing early.

Zipline is only P100.00 per way, you will see the beautiful view from the mountains.

This is only a day tour so you might consider getting a tour operator or bring your own vehicle.

Thanks to our tour operator we were able to made a beautiful memories in Minalungao.????????

Minalungao National Park is a protected area and one of the few remaining natural environments in the region north of Metro Manila. Spanning over 2,000 hectares, it lures travelers with the picturesque sight of the emerald-colored Penaranda River that runs across most of the park and the towering limestone formations that border it. Nueva Ecija's Famous Treasure - MINALUNGAO NATIONAL PARK

Minalungao National Park is a preserve area in the province of General Tinio Nueva Ecija.
it is known for its emerald green river the Penaranda River.

Things to do:
1. Bamboo Rafting
2. Zip Line
3. Trekking the 1000 steps to glass cross.
4. Appreciate Sierra Madre
5. Caving
6. Swimming
7. Cliff Diving
8. Enjoying with family and friends

Best Time to go: 7AM to avoid the crowds

Entrance Fee: it's free
Bamboo Rafting: 700 pesos for 4 hours, capacity 7 heads
Zipline: 100 pesos

How to go there via bus:
Ride a bus going to Gapan from Cubao / Pasay
Fare is 200 to 250 Pesos
Travel Time 2 to 3 hours
from Gapan, ride a jeepney to General Tiniio
Then ride a tricycle to Minalungao national park Travel Time 1 hour for 50 pesos per head.

Observation | Rules | Things to expect
The place is really nice.
Water in the river is really emerald green and clean
There is already a private accommodation / hotel
Cooking is not allowed
There are stores that sell food, drinks and souvenir
Enough comfort room but lacking with shower room.
the place is well preserved and no garbage seen
wearing life jacket is strictly observed

This was my first zipline experience. Taken last May 1, 2016 in Minalungao National Park located in the town of General Tinio (Papaya), Nueva Ecija, Philippines about 3-4 hours away from Manila. The view was breathtaking and very relaxing. It has several caves, river, zipline, hanging bridge, and 1000-step paved stairway leading to a big cross at the top of a mountain.This is probably the most beautiful place in the entire province of Nueva Ecija. In between the emerald green river are the magnificent towering rock formations. Entrance Fee: 40 Pesos Zipline Fee: 100 Pesos Parking Fee: 50 Pesos Bamboo Raft: 500-1000 Pesos Cottage: 300-500 Pesos Activities: Swimming, spelunking, bamboo rafting, zipline, mountain climbing, and cliff diving
