Namba Center Shopping Arcades, Minami Osaka City
Osaka city is famous for it's long shopping arcades, which contain both high end and low end shops that sell everything under the sun. Most shopping arcades span multiple city blocks and are open rain or shine. This is because most of these arcades are covered with a dome, which protects the visitors from rain and other elements.
Specifically the minami or south Osaka downtown is known for these shopping arcades. The Namba area near the Nankai Namba Station has two large shopping arcades Sennichi Mae and Ebisubashi Suji inside the Namba Center. Visiting them is generally a lot of fun, you can do some shopping, some people watching and then get some nice Japanese food to top of the day. Enjoy.
Osaka - Walking Tour of Namba & Dotonbori Area
Osaka Minami District is a well know entertainment district in Osaka with plenty of restaurants and retail stores. Our first evening in Osaka was a walkabout in the Namba and Dotonbori area. The restaurants' front featured the cuisine they specialised , and the lively atmosphere with beautiful billboards makes Osaka evening so colorful.

Minami / Namba, Osaka
Hung out the town Namba known as Minami. It was not the weekend, but there are much more many people on the weekends for shopping, eating Osaka stuffs or just hanging around. :) I saw many foreign people from China, Korea, Taiwan. Hope you can enjoy this video and feel a piece of Japan.

Minami, meaning South,is located around Namba Station, which is one of Osaka's two major city centers. It is the city's most famous entertainment district and offers hundreds of restaurants and shopping choices. The district is conveniently accessible as there are three train companies as well as three subway lines serving and also a highway bus terminal. The other major city center is Kita, meaning North, located around Osaka and Umeda Stations.

In this video I tired their new menu Sukiyaki at Yoshinoya,
plus tried to find 2nd hand Pocket wifi for better connection for next LiveStream video in Denden town, Osaka Japan.
Sukiyaki - the price was only 712 JPY [include tax] (you can add extra meat with 300 JPY] ! Sukiyaki could be really expensive, but I could eat good and cheap Sukiyaki in Yoshinoya, Osaka, Japan!
I love Yoshinoya!
2nd hand pocket wifi - I tried several 2nd hand cellphone stores in Denden town Osaka, but I only could find older generation one.

Exploring Osaka: America-Mura, Dotonbori, Shinsaibashi and Namba
Hey everyone first of all thanks for watching the video!
This was our first full day in Osaka and we had an amazing time exploring it. When we first get to a new place we like to spend a day just exploring the area and finding our bearings and we certainly did.
We as always loved the 7/11's and grabbed a bunch of food there and also used their ATM's to withdraw money as they always work with travelex cards.. It's so easy to film a beautiful film in Japan due to how beautiful the city is.
We got our first glimpe of the dotonbori River which was very beautiful. I drank a bunch of Calpis Soda.
We shopped at Daiso and a bunch of other cosmeticy stores.
Leonie bought a beautiful top from Guess and I found a Champion beanie.
We then had lunch at Sanuki and then took photos in front of the famous Glico man sign.
Overall an amazing first day in Osaka

I know a lot of this town Minami Dotonbori (Namba, Osaka),
So I introduce pretty much all popular and my favorite restaurant in Dotonbori food street!
There are just so many restaurants in Dotonbori and Hozenji Yokocho, so hope you can watch this video before you travel and you can have an idea before you visit Osaka, Japan????

Here is the list of restaurant and place I introduce!!
1. Glico Running man (Dotonbori symbol sign)
Glico Running man sign is right next to Ebisu-bashi, beside the Dotonbori canal (Guided by local, TOP 5 Places where you should take Selfy and photo in Dotonbori Osaka !! #121:
2. Kani Doraku (Giant crab)
It is one of the symbol of Dotonbori. Usually it costs between 5,000 JPY to 10,000 JPY per person.
3. Bikkuri Donkey (Hamberg steak restaurant)
One of my favorite Hmaber steak chain restaurant in Japan.
Even it's a chain restaurant, their hamberg steak is so good !!
4. Botejyu (Okonomi-yaki, Teppan-yaki restaurant)
Okonomi-yaki is a Osaka's soul food, and this restaurant has over 70 years history!!
5. Honolulu coffee
This is a really good place to take a rest in Dotonbori!!
6. Osaka Ohsho
Osaka Ohsho (Gyoza no Ohsho) is a really popular Japanese Chinese food restaurant in Japan.

7. Kukuru (Huge Octopus :Kukuru Konamon-Museum)
Kukuru is traditional Takoyaki restaurant! They focus on using good Octopus compare to other Takoyaki!

Juhachi ban is really good Takoyaki restaurant! Their Takoyaki is so tasty and good!!

11. Hozenji Yokocho (Hidden Alley)
Hozenji Yokocho is super traditional Japanese look tiny street.
There are many traditional restaurant, and temple as well.

12. Dango stall
You can enjoy 3 different kinds of Dango, price is 200 JPY (2 USD)!
It is really good for snack! They have Mitrashi (Sweet soy sauce), Matcha, and Kinako (Soybean powder) tastes !!
13. Kushikatsu Daruma (Man's huge face)
Kushikatsu is traditional Osaka food!
Kushikatsu is a deep fried skewer! Their Kushikatsu is really good!
Make sure, try Kushikatsu before you leave Osaka!!
14. Kinryu Ramen (Huge dragon)
Kinryu is very classic Ramen restaurant! It is not fancy, but you can try the classic Ramen taste in Namba, Osaka.

I used to live in Osaka for many years. When my families visited me, I always took them to Namba/Nanba for sightseeing. I'm going to share the best places in Namba with you.

I always start from JR Namba/Nanba station.
・Kogaryu 甲賀流, 2-18-4 Nishishinsaibashi, Chuo-ku, Osaka (Best Takoyaki Store!)
・Triangle Park 三角公園 (is right across the street from Kogaryu.)
・Big Step,1-6-14 Nishishinsaibashi, Chuo-ku, Osaka
・Midousuji 御堂筋 (Specifically, when the leaves of Ginkgo trees along Midousuji Street turn yellow in November, it is so beautiful!)
・Ebisu Bridge 戎橋, (There is Glico's giant electronic display. It is more beautiful at night.)
・Dotonbori 道頓堀
・Kamukura Ramen 神座, 1-7-3 Dotonbori, Chuo-ku, Osaka
・Hozenji Yokocho 法善寺横丁

Best snack Kara-age stall near Dotonbori, Namba, Osaka! Kin no Torikara #158
Karaage (Japanese Fried Chicken) is really popular snack in Japan!
If you go to Izakaya (Japanese style Bar restaurant), for sure, you can find Karaage in the menu!
In this video, I introduce popular Karaage stall Kin no Torikara (金のとりから) near Dotonbori, Namba, Osaka!
They sell Karaage stick which is really easy to eat!!
Also, there are so many sauces in front of the store which you can try for free!
I have tried, Original spice, Yuzu pepper sauce, Lemon sauce, Chocolate sauce, Yuzu Ponzu, Hot Chili sauce, Mayonnaise, and Garlic Butter Sauce in the video!! (There are still many sauces)
My best is Yuzu pepper (Yuzu Kosho) sauce with Karaage!!
(You must try Yuzu pepper) in your Japan trip at least once!
it's so good!!)
The worst one was Chocolate sauce with Karaage!!
It's really fund to try many different kind of taste in the store!
If you get the single size Karaage, it's only 260 JPY (2.6 USD),
So in your Osaka trip, if you want to have little snack near Dotonbori, Namba, Osaka, try this Kin no Torikara, for sure you will like it!!

Some of the most famous images of Osaka, including the Glico Man and the Kani Doraku Crab, are located around the Dōtonbori canal in Namba. Namba is also known as an entertainment district, and hosts many of the city's most popular bars, restaurants, nightclubs, arcades, and pachinko parlors. The area is also known for shopping, with the Takashimaya department store (for older styles) and the sprawling underground Namba City shopping mall (for newer styles).
