Day trip in Okinawa - beautiful Minna-Jima Island
Minna-Jima Island is a fantastic place to visit if you want to enjoy a gorgeous pristine beach with babies or kids in tow. It is located a short 15min ferry ride from the port of Motobu Town, and has all the facilities you require to cater for a family day at the beach:
- the ferry terminal at Motobu Port is air-conditioned and has chairs, vending machines, and a baby-change table in the all-access toilet
- the ferry is air-conditioned inside and lovely and clean
- there are toilets, showers, food, and rental umbrellas etc at Minna-Jima Island
- there is a protected swimming area

Sesoko Island to Expo 75 and Nakijin Castle, 1988
We drove out onto Sesoko Island then back to the main island of Okinawa with the intent to visit the Expo 75 site. As luck would have it the Expo was closed. We climbed up the tower, looked around a bit then pressed on to Nakijin Castle. Our trip was made in my 1978 Toyota Town Ace van - great little vehicle! It got me everywhere I ever wanted to go except for up a small coral rock asphalt-paved road, in the rain, at Katsuren Castle on the east coast of Okinawa.

農家の店(Nōka no mise)
位在本部町營市場裡面，如其店名，這是農家所經營的店，販賣夏季盛產水果，因此想要吃料多味美的水果冰，只有夏天才有。
走入市場就可以看到指標，門口直接就立著有照片的菜單，不需猶豫，直接點綜合的吧(￥600)！有芒果、紅龍果、鳳梨、百香果，上面一球冰淇淋，水果切塊非常的大氣，真的是充滿夏天的冰。
除了刨冰也有冰沙，還有水果，可以一次只買一顆，現切現吃喔。
超級推薦的，夏天來這裡，一定要進來吃。店內座位只有櫃檯前一排，可以拿到休息區吃喔～

水族館に行く際は、ぜひよってみるといいと思います。
そこまで観光客も多くないので
穴場の観光地かもしれません。

当時はまだ、建設途中で中止となり廃墟となった
ホテルが写っています。
