Plaka - Crete holidays, Greece
Plaka -
Plaka is a pebbled beach which proves to be one of the regions most popular during peak season. One of the main attractions here is breathtaking view of the Spinalonga peninsula, which you can take in whilst lazing under the afternoon sun. The alluring blue water is calm and shallow, making it safe for all to enjoy, and also offers a fantastic range of watersports if you feel a little more adventurous!

The resort consists of a number of suites and villas that represent not only the beauty of the Mediterranean, but also Cretan culture. Buildings have roofs shaped as domes and pyramids, and are constructed in earthy colours to blend in with the surrounding environment. The use of natural Mediterranean light and space within the resort, combined with its stunning views of the sea and the island of Spinalonga, creates a relaxing haven where guests can really get away from it all. The hotel has recently introduced a brand new designated family area with swimming pool, playground open-air theatre and more.
The resort is situated in the wider area of Elounda, next to the charming fishing village of Plaka. Domes of Elounda stands in a tranquil bay with a view to the UNESCO protected islet of Spinalonga, and the resort itself offers its own private natural sandy beach.
The nearby Spinalonga Island, the second most visited attraction in Crete, is abandoned fortress on a small island filled with pebble beaches. This unoccupied island is easily accessible from Elounda and Aghios Nikolaos as tourist boats depart from both towns on a daily basis.

Dia Island in Hersonissos Municipality Crete
Dia Island is located 6 miles northeast of Hersonissos Crete. It is a virgin island and the home of seabirds and species associated with coastal cliffs. It is one of the NATURA protected areas, due to its status as a biotope for endemic plants. Legend has it that Dia Island used to be a colossal sea creature that came close to Crete and then at the last moment Zeus turned it into stone with a powerful thunderbolt, thus creating the island.

CRETE GREECE - Agios Nikolaos , jumping in to the lake.
There was some crazy kids who jumped for fun into the lake. The high from there was about 15-17 meters. There is also every year a cliff challenge in Agios Nikolaos were professional cliff jumpers jump from a special platform. #Crete #Cretegreece #Agiosnikolaos
