Liquid nitrogen drink: Oscar's Wine Bar in court
Two men have appeared in court charged under the Health and Safety at Work Act after an 18-year-old woman who drank a cocktail containing liquid nitrogen needed to have her stomach removed.
Gaby Scanlon, from Heysham, Lancashire was celebrating her birthday at Oscar's Wine Bar in Lancaster in October 2012.
Employee Matthew Harding, of George Street, Lancaster, pleaded not guilty.
The firm and director Andrew Dunn did not enter pleas before Lancaster magistrates.
They will appear again at Preston Crown Court on 18 May.
Mr Harding faced a charge under the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 of failing to ensure the health and safety of himself and of other persons in his role as an employee.
Oscar's Wine Bar Limited, and Mr Dunn, of The Garden Village, Old Earswick, North Yorkshire, faced charges under the same act, of failing to ensure the public were not exposed to health and safety risks.

Hemp Harvester
Power Zone Agriculture has designed and tested a harvesting system for hemp flowers from tall (to 14 feet), closely spaced CBD crop. It handles product delicately to avoid trichome damage. Similar systems are available for harvesting grain and seed without the use of a combine. Lower cutters can be added to the system to cut and windrow hemp stalks for retting and subsequent decortication at a fraction of the cost for dual headed cutters used in Europe. It attaches to a tractor using locally, easy to find parts, and within a few minutes can be attached or detached.

The Bravados (Classic Western, Full Movie, GREGORY PECK, English) *free full western films*

PLOT (Wikipedia): Jim Douglas (Gregory Peck) is a rancher pursuing four outlaws after the murder of his wife six months before. He rides into Rio Arriba, where four men, Alfonso Parral (Lee Van Cleef), Bill Zachary (Stephen Boyd), Ed Taylor (Albert Salmi) and Lujan (Henry Silva), are in jail awaiting execution, by hanging, for an unrelated murder. Sheriff Eloy Sanchez (Herbert Rudley) allows Douglas to see the men.
In town, Douglas meets Josefa Velarde (Joan Collins), whom he met nearly five years previously in New Orleans. She has been looking after her late father's ranch. Douglas reveals he has a daughter (Maria Garcia Fletcher). Other townspeople include Gus Steimmetz, his daughter Emma (Kathleen Gallant) and her fiancé (Barry Coe).
The executioner, Simms, arrives, and aside from a brief drink with Douglas, seems to show little interest in socializing or advance planning for his task. Simms holds off until the townspeople are at church, then, while pretending to evaluate the men he is to hang, stabs the sheriff in the back. The sheriff shoots and kills Simms, but the inmates leave the sheriff unconscious, escape and take Emma as a hostage. The wounded sheriff comes into the church with the news that the prisoners have escaped. A posse rides out immediately, but Douglas waits until morning, as he anticipates one of the prisoners will stay behind to cut off everybody at a pass, which is what happens. Douglas eventually catches up, and when night falls, the prisoner leaves to join the rest of his group.
The posse finds a dead man, who appears to be the real Simms. Douglas later locates Parral, who pleads for his life. Douglas kills him, then ropes another outlaw, Taylor, by the feet and hangs him upside-down from a tree. The two remaining fugitives reach the house of John Butler (Gene Evans), a prospector and Douglas' neighbor. Zachary kills Butler, after which Lujan steals a sack of coins Butler had. They see riders approaching and flee, leaving Emma behind. One of the riders turns out to be Josefa, with Douglas coming toward them from another direction. The posse also arrives and finds Emma, raped by Zachary, in the house.
Douglas goes back to his ranch to get fresh mounts, but finds that the fugitives have taken his last horses. He leaves Josefa with his daughter. At the Mexican border, Douglas enters a bar, finds Zachary and kills him in a gunfight. He then goes on to the home of the fourth man, Lujan, who has a family of his own. When shown a photo of Douglas' murdered wife, Lujan insists he has never seen the woman before. He recalls that he and his companions rode past the ranch. Douglas points to Lujan's sack and states that the men who killed his wife stole it. Lujan explains that he took the bag from Butler's dead hand, whereupon Douglas realizes that it was Butler who killed his wife.
Now knowing that the four men whom he pursued had nothing to do with his wife's death, Douglas realizes that he is no better than they were, having also killed in cold blood. He returns to town and goes to the church to ask for forgiveness. The priest (Andrew Duggan) says that while he can't condone Douglas' actions, he respects him for not making excuses for what he's done. Josefa arrives with Douglas' daughter, and they exit the church together, with the townspeople cheering Douglas outside.

Calling All Cars: Desperate Choices / Perfumed Cigarette Lighter / Man Overboard
The radio show Calling All Cars hired LAPD radio dispacher Jesse Rosenquist to be the voice of the dispatcher. Rosenquist was already famous because home radios could tune into early police radio frequencies. As the first police radio dispatcher presented to the public ear, his was the voice that actors went to when called upon for a radio dispatcher role.
The iconic television series Dragnet, with LAPD Detective Joe Friday as the primary character, was the first major media representation of the department. Real LAPD operations inspired Jack Webb to create the series and close cooperation with department officers let him make it as realistic as possible, including authentic police equipment and sound recording on-site at the police station.
Due to Dragnet's popularity, LAPD Chief Parker became, after J. Edgar Hoover, the most well known and respected law enforcement official in the nation. In the 1960s, when the LAPD under Chief Thomas Reddin expanded its community relations division and began efforts to reach out to the African-American community, Dragnet followed suit with more emphasis on internal affairs and community policing than solving crimes, the show's previous mainstay.
Several prominent representations of the LAPD and its officers in television and film include Adam-12, Blue Streak, Blue Thunder, Boomtown, The Closer, Colors, Crash, Columbo, Dark Blue, Die Hard, End of Watch, Heat, Hollywood Homicide, Hunter, Internal Affairs, Jackie Brown, L.A. Confidential, Lakeview Terrace, Law & Order: Los Angeles, Life, Numb3rs, The Shield, Southland, Speed, Street Kings, SWAT, Training Day and the Lethal Weapon, Rush Hour and Terminator film series. The LAPD is also featured in the video games Midnight Club II, Midnight Club: Los Angeles, L.A. Noire and Call of Juarez: The Cartel.
The LAPD has also been the subject of numerous novels. Elizabeth Linington used the department as her backdrop in three different series written under three different names, perhaps the most popular being those novel featuring Det. Lt. Luis Mendoza, who was introduced in the Edgar-nominated Case Pending. Joseph Wambaugh, the son of a Pittsburgh policeman, spent fourteen years in the department, using his background to write novels with authentic fictional depictions of life in the LAPD. Wambaugh also created the Emmy-winning TV anthology series Police Story. Wambaugh was also a major influence on James Ellroy, who wrote several novels about the Department set during the 1940s and 1950s, the most famous of which are probably The Black Dahlia, fictionalizing the LAPD's most famous cold case, and L.A. Confidential, which was made into a film of the same name. Both the novel and the film chronicled mass-murder and corruption inside and outside the force during the Parker era. Critic Roger Ebert indicates that the film's characters (from the 1950s) represent the choices ahead for the LAPD: assisting Hollywood limelight, aggressive policing with relaxed ethics, and a straight arrow approach.

- Butterfingers are tasty and these yummy candy bars were invented by Otto Schering way back in 1922.
- Kids who love hard candies which deliver major fruit flavor are definitely looking for Jolly Ranchers on Halloween night.
- The chocolate-covered wafers known as Kit Kats were invented in the UK, by a candy company called Rowntree's of York.
- Since Twix bars taste so good, it's safe to say that plenty of Americans get at least some of their yearly candy allotment by eating these chewy, chocolate candy bars.

- Junior Mints are soft candies are covered in pure chocolate and feature creamy and minty centers.

Thrillist - City Tap House - Philadelphia, PA
Slated to open tonight on The Radian's second level, CTH's a 120-seat dining room decked out with reclaimed hardwood stained various shades and hand-hammered copper, plus a 60-tap bar, all centered between two rooftop terraces with outdoor seating and firepits, the first combination of alcohol, fire, and rooftops not involving a Phillies' World Series win. Menu fixtures include crispy gulf oysters served with horseradish aioli, johnny cakes, and pickled red onion; a Lancaster lamb Merguez sausage on flatbread with red pepper hummus and marinated olives; and a center-cut pork chop with roasted pepper salad and apple-fennel mash, which's much more nutritious than its monster counterpart, if not nearly as much of a graveyard smash. A rotating menu of daily specials include Saturday's ribeye grilled bone-in, Wednesday's lamb chop grilled with rosemary and mint, and Monday's pan-seared grouper, which really is just a despicable way to treat your fans. Oh. Grouper.

A Writer at Work / The Legend of Annie Christmas / When the Mountain Fell
Amanda Randolph (September 2, 1896 -- August 24, 1967) was an American actress and singer. She was a native of Louisville, Kentucky, and was the older sister of actress Lillian Randolph. She was the first African-American performer to star in a regularly scheduled network television show, appearing in DuMont's The Laytons. This short-lived program was on the air two months in 1948.
Her film career began in 1936 with Black Network. She went on to do several Oscar Micheaux films, among them: Swing, Lying Lips and The Notorious Elinor Lee. Broadway roles in The Male Animal and Harlem Cavalcade soon followed. Around the same time, Randolph broke into radio, helped by people she met at The Clam House, who got her a CBS audition. She began working on various radio shows: Young Dr. Malone, Romance of Helen Trent and Big Sister. Amanda went on to become a regular cast member on Abie's Irish Rose, Kitty Foyle, and Miss Hattie with Ethel Barrymore, where she had the role of Venus. Amanda also appeared on Rudy Vallée's radio show and on Grand Central Station.
She continued working in films to the 1960s, and was one of the first black women to become a comedy favorite on television. She briefly starred in her own daytime musical TV program for DuMont, Amanda, during the 1948 - 1949 season, making her the first African-American woman with her own show on daytime television.[55][56] Randolph did not settle in California until 1949, when she earned a role in Sidney Poitier's No Way Out. Even though she was working in New York and her younger sister, Lillian, had been working in Hollywood for some time, newspapers often got the two sisters mixed up, doing a story on Amanda but with a photo of Lillian and vice-versa. She then became a regular on the top early black TV show of the decade, Amos 'n' Andy, as Sapphire's mother, Ramona Smith, from 1951 to 1953; she also played the same role for the show's radio version from 1951 to 1954.[57] Amanda was now working with her sister, Lillian, who played Madame Queen on the radio and television shows.[15] She was the star and titular character in Beulah from 1953 to 1954, assuming the role from Lillian. Randolph also did some work for radio in 1956, playing the role of the folk heroine Annie Christmas in The Legend of Annie Christmas. She also had a recurring role as Louise the maid on CBS's The Danny Thomas Show and appeared in the show's 1967 reunion. (The show was aired shortly after her death.) She guest starred on the NBC anthology series, The Barbara Stanwyck Show. In 1955, Amanda opened a restaurant in Los Angeles called Mama's Place, where she did the cooking.
Despite all her film and television work, Amanda found herself slightly short of the requirements for a much-needed Screen Actors Guild pension at age 70; both sisters struggled for roles in the late 1930s. A role was written for her to gain eligibility.

Canberra – Purpose built as Australia’s capital city, Canberra is a 3-hour drive from both the snowy mountains and the beautiful beaches of New South Wales.
When ready, browse vacation packages to Canberra:
Canberra is a city which honors Australia’s past and shapes its future, yet #Canberra is far more than a political capital.
At the heart of Canberra’s creation story is Lake Burley Griffin. In 1911, the government launched an international design competition seeking a master plan for a brand new city. The victor, Chicago architect Walter Burley Griffin, won with a garden city design focused on a man-made lake which fits perfectly within the landscape. When, the nation’s Governor General stood in a dusty paddock in 1913 and announced the name of the new capital, he told the nation that the city had, lying before it, a splendid destiny.
Over 100 years later, that destiny has been fulfilled in a city that preserves the great chapters of Australia’s history and continues on to the next. #Vacation here to become a part of it, and keep the memories of your #visit for your own story.
