The Osaka Mint Bureau (Mint Museum) is famous for the more than 300 cherry trees,(over 100 cherry varieties) which stand on its premises.
日本大阪造币局地区的３００多棵樱花树在每年的４月间开花，市民们及旅客们抓紧时机来此地赏花及春游。

【造幣局通り抜け 2017】Japan mint in Osaka
I went to Tourinuke(Japan mint events) in Osaka.
There were many people because it was the last Sunday of the event.
The weather was very nice and the best for cherry blossom viewing.
However, it was not possible to appreciate slowly.
大阪の造幣局の通り抜けに行ってきました。
最後の日曜日ということで沢山の人でした。
天気は良く、最高の花見日和でした。
しかしながらゆっくりと鑑賞はできませんでした。

There are some walking route to OSAKA CASTLE. You should consider where you go there from because the area is huge. For tourist with small kids and disabled should take this way as it is the easiest way but less cherry blossoms. The day I went, cherry blossoms were full bloomed. The shrine name is HOUKOKU JINJA SHRINE and bronze statue of SAMURAI who build OSAKA CASTLE is there.

2010 The cherry blossoms in Osaka.
大阪城公園へ満開の桜を見に行ってきました。たくさんの花見客で賑わい、とても楽しそうでした。西の丸庭園へは初めて入ったのですが、素晴らしい場所だったので驚きました。造幣局の桜の通り抜けへも初めて行ったのですが、こちらも大阪城では見ることのできない様々な種類の桜が咲き乱れ、本当に美しく、素晴らしい場所でした。
前半は大阪城公園を中心としたムービー、後半は造幣局のフォトムービーとなっています。(^o^)
In Osaka Castle Park, Many people can be seen were enjoying the cherry blossoms in full bloom again this year. It was really great week.
Osaka castle park is a beautiful spot filled with full bloomed cherry blossoms. Over 4000 cherry trees are plantent on the spacious ground of Osaka Castle. A particularly nice place for a picnic is Nishinomaru Garden in the castle's western citadel with wide lawns, views of the castle tower and light up in the evening.
And, The cherry blossoms in Osaka Mint Bureau is a must-see for everyone. Cherry blossom viewing in Osaka Mint Bureau is an amazing experience. The spot offers a beautiful sight of a variety of cherries. More than 300 trees of over 100 varieties, mostly later blooming yae-zakura trees can be viewed on the premises of the Osaka Mint Bureau during one week in mid April, about one week after the end of the regular cherry blossom season.

Japan Mint Bureau was founded by the Meiji new government to establish the new money system at Kita Ward in Osaka city, and at that time, Mint Bureau performed the establishment ceremony on April 4, 1871, and began manufacturing money by foreign equipment.
At present time, Mint Bureau is manufacturing medals, metal craft goods, analysing of ground metal and the mineral and conducting the proofs of the precious metals product (Hallmark) besides manufacturing money.

In 2017, the special opening for cherry blossom viewing is from April 11 to 17.
The Osaka Mint Bureau (造幣局, Zōheikyoku) is the head office of Japan Mint, a governmental agency responsible for the supply of coins and medals and the analysis, testing and certification of metals.
But as much as for coins, the Osaka Mint Bureau is famous for the more than 300 cherry trees, which stand on its premises. Over 100 cherry varieties, mostly later blooming yae-zakura trees (with more than five petals per blossom) can be viewed on the premises. Every year, the gates to the cherry garden are specially opened to the general public during a one week period in mid April.
During the rest of the year, the Mint Museum is opened to the public, introducing the coin production process and history of the mint and exhibits various coins and medals from Japan and elsewhere. Entry to the museum also includes entry into the cherry tree garden.
