Video from work and preparations, friends and colleagues related to mainly the Community-based Urban Environmental Management Project in Quanzhou, Fujian, China （国际合作项目“参与性城市规划、建设、管理一一中国福建泉州”）, an International collaborative project supported by the Ford Foundation （福特基金会） carried out by School of Architecture at Tsinghua University （清华大学建筑学院）, Centre for Human Settlements at University ofBritish Columbia （UBC人居中心）, and Quanzhou Municipal Urban and Rural Planning Bureau （泉州市规划局）.

There are also some clips from the preparation work on the temporary (2000-2007) Quanzhou Ancient Architecture Exhibition that was located in and next to the old Hong Shi Ancestral Hall at Wenling Lu. The museum is since 2008 permanently incorporated in the new Quanzhou Museum （泉州博物馆） on the north shore of Xihu Park north of the Old City.
The exhibits were partly based on the 1999 exhibition Review of Preservation and Construction in the Old City of Quanzhou（泉州古城保护建设回顾展） by the Quanzhou Planning Bureau and Tsinghua University (including Johan Nilsson's 倪岳瀚 and Tan Ying's 谭英 work on urban preservation and tourism development, and photographer Chen Shizhe‘s 陈世哲 work.
