Minute Maid Park, previously known as The Ballpark at Union Station, Enron Field, and Astros Field, is a ballpark in Downtown Houston, Texas, United States, that opened in 2000 to house the Houston Astros of Major League Baseball (MLB). The ballpark is Houston's first retractable-roofed stadium, and features a natural grass playing field. The ballpark was built as a replacement of the Astrodome, the first domed sports stadium ever built, which opened in 1965. It is named for beverage brand Minute Maid, a subsidiary of The Coca-Cola Company, which acquired naming rights in 2002 for $100 million over 30 years. As of 2016, Minute Maid Park has a seating capacity of 41,168, which includes 5,197 club seats and 63 luxury suites.

Minute Maid Park is a ballpark in Downtown Houston, Texas, United States that opened in 2000 to house the Houston Astros Major League Baseball team.
The ballpark was Houston's first retractable-roofed stadium, protecting fans and athletes from Houston's notoriously humid weather as did its predecessor, the Astrodome, but also allowing fans to enjoy outdoor baseball during favorable weather. The ballpark also features a grass field, compared to the Astrodome's artificial AstroTurf, which was generally disliked by professional baseball players. The largest entrance to the park is inside what was once Houston's Union Station, and the left-field side of the stadium features a railway as homage to the site's history. The train moves along a track on top of the length of the exterior wall beyond left field whenever an Astros player hits a home run, and/or when the Astros win a game. The engine's coal car is filled with giant oranges in tribute to Coca-Cola subsidiary Minute Maid's most famous product, orange juice. The ballpark has 5,095 club seats and 63 luxury suites.

Elder David A. Bednar of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles threw the ceremonial first pitch before the Houston Astros faced the Oakland Athletics for Family Night at Minute Maid Park in Houston, Texas, on Monday, July 22, 2019.
Elder Bednar’s pitch – a strike – was caught by former MLB pitcher Jeremy Guthrie, who is currently serving as the Texas Houston South Mission President.
One hundred-fifty missionaries in the Texas Houston South Mission performed the National Anthem.

Houston named after General Sam Houston who help to win Texas independence from Mexico in the Battle of San Jacinto fought on April 21, 1836, in present-day Harris County, Texas.
Houston Texas, one year after category 4 Hurricane Harvey brought devastating floods to many neighborhoods. Now a year later, Houston is in full gear back on the move. The city came together during the hurriane helping each other and it had a unifying affect on this largest city in popluation in Texas. The greater metropolitan area of Houston is 2nd behind Dallas-Fort Worth, however within the city limites Houston is the 4 largest city in population in Texas. No wonder traffic was pretty bad during rush hour.
We feature Minute Maid Park home of the Houston Astros, who became world champions less than a couple of months after Harvey. It gaved many in the city something to rally together in after dealing with the challenges of the hurricane.
We also feature Metro Rail which has been serving Houston since 2004.
