Belarus Mir castle / Беларусь Мирский замок
Ми́рский за́мок (белор. Мірскі замак) — оборонительное укрепление и резиденция в городском посёлке Мир Гродненской области. Памятник архитектуры, внесён в список Всемирного наследия ЮНЕСКО (с 2000 года). До 1568 года хозяевами были Ильиничи, потом — Радзивиллы (до 1828), Витгенштейны (до 1891). Последними владельцами замка были Святополк-Мирские (до 1939), после чего замок стал государственной собственностью.
Замок по строению похож на квадрат со стороной около 75 метров, по углам расположены пятиэтажные башни высотой 25—27 м, которые выходят за пределы стен. Пятая башня — шестиэтажная с въездными воротами[1].Мирский замок является самым восточным готическим сооружением, а также самым крупным и единственным не культовым объектом из сохранившихся немногих образцов самобытной белорусской готики[2].
Mir castle (Belor. Mrs Zamak) - the fortifications and residence in the urban town of Mir, Grodno region. The monument, a UNESCO world heritage site (since 2000). The last owners of the castle were Svyatopolk-Mirsky (until 1939), after which the castle became state property.

Mir Castle, Belarus.
The Mir Castle complex (Mirsky zamok) is an outstanding example of 16th-century fortification art. It’s located in the town of Mir in the Grodno region of Belarus.
The construction of this Belarus’ Gothic stylecastle was started in the 1520s by Duke Ilinich.
In 1568 the castle came into the hands of Mikolay Radziwil, who completed it in Renaissance style.
A three-storey palace was built along the eastern and northern walls of the castle which had forty fretted rooms. Earth walls were built around the castle with bastions at the corners, surrounded by a water moat.
An Italian garden was laid to the north of the walls and an artificial lake was established to the south. The Radziwills owned the castle for several centuries.
During the Napoleonic wars the castle was severely damaged.
In 1891, the castle is bought by Nikolai Svyatopolk-Mirsky who started bringing order to his new property. His son continued his father’s work, led by renowned architect Teodor Bursze.
