Chedworth Roman Villa - jack barrow caravan & camping site cirencester
Evidence for the first stone structure at Chedworth Roman Villa dates to the 2nd century AD. This relatively simple structure consisted of three detached buildings, each of a few rooms.
Over the next two centuries the villa was extended and improved, reaching its heyday in the 4th century AD, between 360-380AD. During this time Chedworth Roman Villa was a place of wealth, luxury and comfort. Imagine stunning mosaic floors, extensive bath house rooms and features made of marble so precious it was usually reserved for the imperial family.
Soon after this period of wealth and decadence the villa was abandoned. The Roman Empire officially pulled out of Britain in 410AD. It 's around this time that Chedworth Roman Villa fell into disrepair. The roofs fell in, trees grew up through the mosaic floors and soil from the surrounding banks buried the buildings.

Motolug Motorcycle Trailer Review
Here's my initial review of the Motolug Motorcycle Trailer, a clever folding trailer ideal for transporting your motorcycle without actually riding it (yes, there are times when that needs to be done!)....
Travel Blog: UK Places - Cheltenham, Gloucestershire
Here's my Travel Blog: UK Towns featuring Cheltenham where I went to look, unprepared and discovered a beautiful place full of buildings but the Thai restaurant I was parked near and should have been open, wasn't.
During my expedition, where I had no idea about directions, I actually ended up going past a Thai restaurant but I didn't know until doing the editing!
A great adventure, however, I left very hungrily.

Edgemoor Inn, Stroud
The Edgemoor Inn is in the village of Edge, between Stroud and Gloucester overlooking the beautiful, picturesque Painswick Valley. The late 19th century Inn, constructed from Cotswold stone, has picture windows and is well known for its pretty panoramic views. Our property boasts an extensive terraced patio overlooking Painswick & surrounding countryside.
Cotswold Collection
A collection of old 8mm films and very early VHS video captured while holidaying in the magnificent Cotswolds in the middle of England way back in the early 1980s. The early film (and the primitive hand-held VHS too) is often rather fuzzy and shaky (with no image stabilisers and very poorly recorded in-camera sound available then!) but this very relaxed footage does ideally convey the magnificence of Britain's finest heartland and the wonderful ambience of those stately homes on huge acreage and the closely packed old houses in superb warm-sandstone villages and, especially, the slow and gentle way of life in this beloved Shakespeare Country last century.
Any visiting Australian is quite spellbound - and the wandering camera captures that unique Cotswold atmosphere and English lifestyle there to perfection - even with that fuzzy imaging and poor quality sound!! I hope this nostalgic footage warms your heart!! Sit back and thoroughly enjoy!! Then - pack your bags and book that flight!
