Best View and Way To See Mount Fuji: Mishima Sky Walk Japan, Hakone, Japan Traval Guide
Mishima Sky Walk is now the longest pedestrian suspension bridge in Japan. From the suspension bridge, you can see one of the best views of Mount Fuji and Suruga Bay in my opinion.
The Mishima Sky Walk Bridge is located in Mishima city, Shizuoka prefecture in Japan.
To get here it's around a 2 hour car ride from Tokyo or you can take the bus from JR Mishima Station. (around 25 mins)
Mishima Sky Walk opened on December 14, 2015 so it is still very new and still not well-known amongst foreigners!
Opening hours:
Open 365 days (Admission may be restricted in bad weather ie. thunder, strong winds)
9am-5pm (Last admission is at 4:30)
Price:
1000 yen for Adults
500 yen Secondary School
200 yen Primary School

Mishima is a city in central Japan. Located in eastern Shizuoka Prefecture, Japan. It is locally called the “City of Water”. It is know for panoramic views of Mount Fuji from Mishima Skywalk, the longest suspension bridge in Japan that is 400 meters in length.

Mishima (三島市 Mishima-shi) is a city located in eastern Shizuoka Prefecture, Japan. The Mishima Summer Festival takes place from August 15 to 17 every year, in and around the Mishima Taisha shrine, as well as near Mishima Station. Mikoshi are carried through the streets and the taiko are played.

平成２７年（２０１５年）１２月２７日再訪した三島市。三島大社で有名な伊豆の玄関口です。
三嶋大社の門前町であり、三嶋大社や楽寿園を中心に市街地を形成する。市内各地で湧水が見られる点から、国土交通省選定の水の郷百選にも選ばれている。
律令時代には伊豆国の国府が置かれ、伊豆府中とも呼ばれた。江戸時代には東海道三島宿の宿場町となり、箱根峠越えの前後の休息地として賑わった。
明治時代には、鉄路に対する意識の薄さから鉄道駅が置かれずに衰退した時期があったが、1934年に現在の三島駅が開業した。1969年の東海道新幹線三島駅の開業後は、東京・神奈川方面への通勤・通学者が増加した。

Imai Takako had decided to move to Mishima town after 26 years of living abroad. The major deciding factor of her move was the human relationship which has been built in Aizu.

Recently she served as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at a Japanese company in Los Angeles. After living in the United States for 26 years, she moved to Mishima town in 2017.
Currently she is in charge of inbound relations at Oku-Aizu revitalization community group.
She also manages the Instagram section of the information site about Oku-Aizu, Saijiki no Gou Oku-Aizu, sending out daily information.

The facility is a refurbished old house near Aizu Miyashita Station. Tourism Association of Mishima town conducts guide of sightseeing spots. You can also taste the local products at the cafe area.
■Sokokashiko (Mishima town)
The guest house is situated on the remains of Jomon period called Arayashiki Remains, where rare lacquerware and knitting work were excavated.
It is a refurbished old house and creating warm atmosphere.
■Mishima Living Craft Gallery (Mishima town)
Exhibiting national traditional crafts, Oku-Aizu braiding crafts made of wild vines, silver vines, and sedges. It is a facility where you can understand handicrafts of snow country by viewing, buying, and experiencing.

Heiwa Dori Street - Atami, Shizuoka ᴴᴰ ● 熱海 平和通り
► As most of my regular viewers will know by now, every self-respecting Japanese city has at least one covered walking street nearby the station area.
Atami is no exception, only this one, instead of offering the regular ABC Mart (shoe shop) and Matsumoto Kiyoshi (Drugstore), it offers more traditional Japanese goods, such as
fishcakes, dried fish, sembei (Japanese ricecrackers with different flavors) green tea and mochi shops alongside a handful of restaurants dotted along the street.
It's quite nice, offering a relaxing & friendly atmosphere - I'd choose this type of walking street over a big box of a noisy mall any day.
