Best Way To See Mount Fuji: Mishima Sky Walk Japan Travel Guide | 三島スカイウォーク・日本最長の吊り橋
Mishima Sky Walk is now the longest pedestrian suspension bridge in Japan. From the suspension bridge, you can see one of the best views of Mount Fuji in my opinion.
The Mishima Sky Walk Bridge is located in Mishima city, Shizuoka prefecture in Japan.
To get here it's around a 2 hour car ride from Tokyo or you can take the bus from JR Mishima Station. (around 25 mins)
Mishima Sky Walk opened on December 14, 2015 so it is still very new and still not well-known amongst foreigners! (Which is such a shame because this place offers an amazing view of Mt Fuji and Suruga Bay)
Opening hours:
Open 365 days (Admission may be restricted in bad weather ie. thunder, strong winds)
9am-5pm (Last admission is at 4:30)
Price:
1000 yen for Adults
500 yen Secondary School
200 yen Primary School

Heute folgte ich dem Motto Raus aus Tokyo und machte einen Abstecher zu dem wunderschönen Shiraito Wasserfall nahe dem Städtchen Fujinomiya. Auf meiner Rückfahrt nach Tokyo unternahm ich noch einen Halt in Mishima und überquerte den 400m langen Mishima Skywalk.

After three years of construction, Japan’s longest suspension bridge, Mishima Skywalk, will have its grand opening Monday, December 14, 2015. The bridge, which stretches a length of 400 meters (just over 1312 feet), is located in Mishima, Shizuoka, making it a prime location for viewing such spectacular views, such as Suruga Bay and even the majestic Mount Fuji.
