SYNOPSIS
This is a preview of Part Two of our three hour documentary film series on the history of Almonte. Almonte: Transitions picks up in 1960 where Part One, Almonte's Interwoven Past leaves off.
The film documents Almonte's transition from the blue collar mill town that it still was in 1960 to the dynamic and exciting arts centre, tourist destination and all round great place to live that it is today.
The story is told by over 35 interviewees, all of whom witnessed and/or played a direct role in the events and activities covered in the film.
Almonte: Transitions features many pictures of the town during the time frame, some fabulous vintage film footage, and of course some spectacular high definition footage of the town today including almost all of the festivals and events that have taken place since December of 2012.
