Susanne Hampton 'Unlocking the Doctors Heart' Australia Launch- March 7th 2014

Susanne Hampton's 'Unlocking the Doctors Heart', a Mills & Boon Medical series had its Australia wide launch in Adelaide on Friday March 7th at 6:30pm at 'Mostly Books', a prominent bookstore located in the Mitcham Square Shopping Centre, Torrens Park, South Australia.

Although Susanne's work is selling internationally, those who attended had the opportunity to purchase an 'exclusive' Australian pre-release, soft cover edition of 'Unlocking the Doctors Heart' signed by Susanne.

The launch party had a medical theme, with Susanne's friends and co-workers dressing as doctors and assisting with the catering. An engaging variety of select blood types i.e red wine, was available for appraisal. I was particularly attracted to a 'Mad Bastard', a local drop from South Australia's Clare Valley. Seemed to describe me to a tee and he served me well as an excellent ice-breaker... ...What's that you're drinking?...; ...only Mad Bastard's blood! :-)

You'll have to pardon the camera work, I only realised no one was videoing as the speeches began, so I whipped out my pocket camera. Even with a Mad B# on board it's still shaky.

Man stabbed '18 times in 25 seconds' on train

A security camera shows the moment Lee Pomeroy was stabbed 18 times in 25 seconds, on a train from Guildford to London in January.

The Old Bailey sat in silence during the graphic clip of the quick and frenzied attack on a train from Guildford to Waterloo.

The 51-year-old was stabbed by fellow passenger Darren Pencille on 4 January.

Cycling in Maroondah - Mitcham to Croydon

Take a ride through some of Melbourne's most scenic bicycle trails!

Pick up the Box Hill to Ringwood Rail Trail at any spot along its length from Box Hill. This video picks up from Mitcham Station.

Follow the trail past Heatherdale Station and onto Molan St, with a brief on-road section taking you to Albert St (there will soon be a dedicated shared path through here). Resume the trail past Ringwood Station.

Join the bike lanes on Bedford Rd - just ride clear of the car doors! Across the Belgrave line - you should take primary position (i.e. centre of the lane) through here. Turn left into Bedford Park and make a right. Cross the Lilydale line and turn left into Ringwood Lake. Cross Maroondah Hwy and ride down Larissa Ave. Under the Ringwood Bypass and onto the Mullum Mullum Creek Trail to Oban Rd, Kalinda Rd, and on to Highland Ave.

At the Highland Ave end, you can continue on-road to McAdam Square shopping village, or up to Maroondah Hwy at Kent Ave, and utilise the on-road bicycle lanes down Kent Ave to Croydon Town Centre.

The Box Hill to Ringwood Rail Trail is fully sealed in concrete. Ringwood Lake is asphalt, and Larissa Ave is concrete. The Mullum Mullum Creek Trail to Oban Rd is unsealed but is suitable for all types of bicycle. From Oban Rd to Kalinda Rd it is asphalt, and Kalinda Rd to Highland Ave is concrete. The entire trail is suitable for all ages and all types of bicycle, and is faily flat with small indulations including a climb past Ringwood Station.
