Japantics Episode #7: Hiroshima Peace Park
My visit to the Hiroshima Peace Park. A more somber video than the others, but one that I think is most definitely worth checking out. Thanks for taking the time to watch.

My birthday is 1946 January 22nd and my mother four months pregnant with me entering on August 9th, three days after the bombing.
There are four classes [of survivors]. I belong to the fourth class. My mother, second. My father was three kilometers from here and my grandfather 600 meters from here so they belong to the first class.
All over Japan 200,000 survivors have this certificate, but there are many others who cannot get this because of the strict rules because we don't have to pay a portion of medical expenses by having this certificate. It means every government is very stingy. They don't want to spend so much money on the victims like us.
All of the visitors ask me how long the dangerous radiation remained on the ground. The information you can get in the museum: only this. Can you believe this? This is not science... Politics.
Scientifically, this is half true and half false. There are two kinds of residual radiation. This is expressive induced radiation. Induced radiation fades away. This is half true, but the other most dangerous one and its danger lasts for a very long time is this fall out death ash. This is happening in Fukushima and happened in Chernobyl and the Yucatan site.
You can see these pictures of young soldiers in the museum. They both developed this very typical active symptom, called spots of death because of initial radiation and they died on the same day within one month. [The museum mentions] only diarrhea, no words for cancer nor leukemia and no words for internal exposure. The Japanese government wants to ignore the effects caused by residual radiation and especially internal exposure, that's why.

Interview with Hiroshima Survivor
This is a quick interview I did with a Hiroshima Atomic Bomb Survivor for my video podcast Walking on Earth (
Mito Kousei was born 5 months after the bomb fell on Hiroshima, but his mother entered the blast zone shortly after and thus was exposed to radiation. He has lived near Hiroshima all his life and now serves as a Free Guide to tourists visiting the A-Bomb Dome.

On the Mind of Hate and War.
10/03/13-10/06/13
War. Not peace.
Evil. Not good.
Enemies. Not friends or family.
Hate. Not love.
The boy has forced the man's hand. Eternal vendetta and obliterate everything our families have built over generations of blood, sweat and tears with more trauma and agony. Batten down on turmoil; exhaust raw nerve, rage from boiled insides and scrape away lifetimes of potential, until all is lost.
Absent superego, greed, narcissism and psychopathy have poisoned men's souls towards perpetual oblivion for ourselves and everything around us. Each and every disagreeable notion is interpreted in our toxin-tainted minds as an act of aggression. Any and everyone else around is just a waste of space, supplies and air. Care for nothing but our own cowardice and aggressive self-preservation.
... But once we've finally sabotaged the manifest nemesis of our own delusions, our greatest, worthy, equalizing opponent still lies in wait: It's the most relentless enemy you will ever face. It's the most alluring lust your bones will ever desire, the deepest chronic pain you will ever cringe, the most uncontrollable hunger and thirst you will ever crave... and it will never go away.
It's not the devil. It's not those you suspect oppose you. It's not an external enemy. It's not another person or even physicality. It's constantly working to destroy you and you will try to deny it exists until it's too late to even try to fight it. It will remain forever inside, and it will eventually kill you and everyone you have ever known- no surrender, no retreat.
When there's no one left to fight you will resort inside, turn on yourself and self-destruct.

NO MORE HIROSHIMA'S: Class 4 Survivor Speaks [2014 Documentary] 4K Res
'Available in 4K Resolution' This video is very graphic and may be hard to watch at times, viewer discretion is advised.
This film was filmed when I visited Hiroshima earlier this year. It was kind of unexpected and I lacked a lot of gear but still I managed to put together this documentary, which I felt explained some details on the events that took place during the bombing and it offers a fresh look at to what happened on that day.
