One of the MUST GO place in Japan Miyajima the Shrine Island (Itsukushima)
Itsukushima (厳島) is an island in the western part of the Inland Sea of Japan, located in the northwest of Hiroshima Bay. It is popularly known as Miyajima (宮島), the Shrine Island. The island is one of Hayashi Razan's (林羅山) Three Views of Japan (日本三景 Nihon Sankei). Itsukushima is part of the city of Hatsukaichi in Hiroshima Prefecture. The island was the town of Miyajima prior to the 2005 merger with Hatsukaichi.
Itsukushima is famous for the Itsukushima Shrine, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. According to records, the shrine was established in the time of Empress Suiko. The warrior-courtier Taira no Kiyomori gave the shrine its present form. In 1555, Mōri Motonari defeated Sue Harukata at the Battle of Miyajima. Toyotomi Hideyoshi built a large building, the Senjō-kaku, on a hill above the shrine.

Jellyfish - Miyajima Aquarium
Whilst I was in Japan I visited Miyajima, just ten minutes by boat away from Hiroshima. When I was there I walked along a mountain to a shrine and then back down to th ground, on one of the days there I visited the Aquarium, it was a lot of fun! It's been years since I last visited an aquarium, so going to one in another country is very different for me. I didn't get many videos of my stay in Japan, but this is one of a few I did take.

先日、小さな旅にでました。こじんまりした町です。行ったときは、ひなまつりが開かれていました。町並みの家々にひな壇が設置されていました。石見銀山と繋がった江戸幕府の天領だったそうです。散策して十二分に楽しめました。映像は繋げただけのものですが、ご覧ください。

Mori no Yada (Inn of the Woods) ryokan (traditional Japanese hotel) on Miyajima Island, Japan.
Japanese-style entrance, slippers, toilet, shower, futon, sitting area. Room includes safe, tv, extra closet, fridge, and gorgeous yukata to wear if you want to visit their public bath. Hotel is near the end of the island directly across from the aquarium with a great view across the water to Hiroshima.
