Takeda Castle Ruins is also known as floating castle, located in Wadayama, Asago, Japan.
It was a nice experience visiting a rural area in Japan and seeing a beautiful view that we can't find from our laboratory window!

Miyuki Dori Cat - Tokyo's Famous Street Kitty!
Move over, Hello Kitty! Japan has a new real-life kitty sensation that's winning hearts around Tokyo. Shoppers in the busy area of Ginza were surprised and delighted by this adorable cat perched atop the Miyuki Dori street sign - seemingly oblivious to the commotion, while striking poses for curious passers-by, who are all-too-eager to take snaps on their mobile phones and cameras.

JAPAN TRAVEL: HIROSHIMA/HIMEJI! DAY 14
Very big and full day of travel. First we took the bullet train west to the very tragic and moving city of Hiroshima - site of wartime obliteration via A-Bomb. We took in the museum, left feeling spent, and headed for an okonomyaki lunch.
Then, with literally seconds to spare, we got a train to Himeji to go and visit the sensational 1600s castle there; site of many a Hollywood film.
Moving day and historically impressive day.
We ate:
Okonomyaki (Hiroshima style) at Okonomimura
Monaka stuffed with red beans and macha ice cream and Hirashaya

Himeji Castle （姫路城）, Himeji City, Hyogo Prefecture
Himeji Castle is located in Himeji City of the Hyogo Prefecture. Originally built in the 1300s, this castle represents the typical castle architecture of the Japan. When I went to see the castle, it was in the middle of beautification, so most of the castle walls are covered but you get an idea of the surroundings and the location of the castle. Enjoy!!!

姫路城の大改修工事と大河ドラマ「軍師官兵衛」の舞台となったこともあり、城付近も再開発されています。
この門付近も、ここ数年で色々変わったと思います。

Thanks for checking out my video! I am already back in Singapore and here’s the vlog of my last full day in Osaka :(
I attempted to check out both Himeji and Kobe together on the same day, and I did it!!! I had to start the day pretty early so that I can spend a good amount of time in both places.
It has been a lot of fun to explore the Kansai area on my own and I will definitely come back again!

I walked around the north exit of JR Himeji Station. I saw Himeji Castle from Otemae Street, which extends north from JR Himeji Station.
I went to Himeji Castle and walked through the Miyuki-dori shopping street and returned to the station. There are a variety of stores, such as restaurants and souvenir shops.
