Mizuma Railway水間鉄道

Mizuma Railway (水間鉄道) operates one line in the City of Kaizuka in Osaka Prefecture (大阪府貝塚市) between Kaizuka (connects with Nankai Main Line) and Mizuma Kannon Station 水間観音駅. Mizuma Kannon Station building is listed as a National Cultural Asset and is close to Mizumadera, an important buddhist temple.

All operational trains on Mizuma Railway are (currently) ex Tokyu 7000 series (the old 7000 series not current Ikegami Line 7000s).

正月１～３日の三日間は、毎年「正月法会」が執り行われ、「千本餅つき」は、その２日、３日に行われます。この行事は、当山に古来より伝わる唯一の行事で、ご本尊の出現を祝い、行基菩薩が、先導された十六童子と共に木の棒で歌に合わせて餅をつき、ご本尊にお供えしたのが厄除け餅の始まりで、以来今日まで伝えられています。

演歌歌手の宮野孝子さんが円広志さんプロデュースで作詞作曲「水間寺」↓

水間寺（水間観音） ＜大阪 貝塚市＞

2016年1月7日（木）大阪散策

今年最初の散策は、大阪府貝塚市にある水間観音の通称で知られる水間寺（みずまでら）です。
本尊は聖観世音菩薩（しょうかんぜおんぼさつ）。
天平年間（729年-749年）に聖武天皇の勅願（ちょくがん）により行基が開創したものです。

厄除け（やくよけ）観音として府下一円から厚い信仰を集めており、1月2日と3日は千本搗餅つき、節分には豆・餅まきが行われ、春には花見客でにぎわっています。

アクセス
●車
・阪和自動車道「貝塚インター」で下りて、すぐの信号を左折、更に次の信号を左折し直進すると左手に見えます。（貝塚インターで下りてすぐ）
●電車
南海本線「貝塚駅」で水間鉄道に乗り換え、終点「水間観音駅」で下車、徒歩約10分位で右手に見えます。
