Kuşadası
Kuşadası is a resort town on Turkey's Aegean coast and the center of the seaside district of the same name in Aydın Province. Kuşadası lies at a distance of 95 km (59 mi) to the south from the region's largest metropolitan center of İzmir, and 71 km (44 mi) from the provincial seat of Aydın situated inland. Its primary industry is tourism. The district neighbours on the northeast to Germencik district, on the southeast to Söke district, on the west to the Aegean Sea, and on the north to Selçuk district.
The city stands on a bay in the Aegean with the peninsula of Guvercin Ada sticking out into the sea at one end, and the mountain of Pilav Dağı behind.
It is 95 km (59 mi) south of İzmir, the region's largest metropolitan center. It is 71 km (44 mi) from the provincial seat of Aydın situated inland.
Kuşadası has a residential population of 64,359 rising to over half a million during the summer when the large resort fills with tourists (from Turkey itself, northern Europe and the Balkans), plus the hotel staff, bar staff, construction workers, and drivers who are needed to work in the restaurants servicing all these visitors. In addition to the visitors from overseas there is a substantial community of foreigners resident in the area.
Kuşadası caters to tourists, arriving by land, and as the port for cruise ship passengers heading to Ephesus. In a controversial deal in 2003 the previously public-owned port was leased to a private company and renovated to attract luxury cruise liners. The Grand Princess docks here, along with other cruise ships.
There are beaches including the Ladies Beach, the beach at the centrum, the beaches between the Batıhan Hotel and the Nazilli Site, Guzelcamli Town beach and the Dilek Peninsula National Park beach. There are vendors of ice-cream, carpets, leather, and software, and bookshops selling books in English, German, Russian and other languages.
Old houses near the seafront, some of them converted to bars and cafes, are the remnants of old Kuşadası, which has become a modern-European looking town. The hills behind are built up with big hotels and blocks of holiday flats. The building boom in the late 80s and onwards has been continued into the hinterland of Kuşadası.
Transport around the town is by dolmuş (minibus). There are bus and taxi services to the nearest airports, in İzmir and Bodrum. Day trips are available by boat from Kuşadası and Güzelçamlı.
The city is a port of call for cruise ships. The port is linked by a six-lane highway to İzmir's Adnan Menderes Airport
There are daily ferry services to the nearby Greek island of Samos.
Kuşadası's bus station acts as a transport hub. Buses connect to various parts of the country.

Fun in Turkiye Pt. 2
Highlights from recent Bodrum Trip. It features the area in and around the resort town of Bodrum, located on the Aegean coast. In a few panoramic shots, the Greek Island of Kos can be seen in the background. Lots of beautiful video of the turquoise waters and white-painted buildings, as well as the shopping scene at the main bazaar. All footage was shot in HDV on a Sony HDV Handycam and was edited in Final Cut Pro. Produced, edited and videotaped by Jason D. Jones.

The villa offers a high standard of accommodation, is spacious and well arranged. A large solid wood cabinet houses the TV and DVD player. From here, you enter the dining area which is furnished with a large dark wood table and 6 high-backed chairs. Sets of patio doors from both the lounge (full length) and dining areas lead to the long pool terrace.
The separate kitchen is equipped with modern units, granite work surfaces and appliances including electric oven and hob, dishwasher, washing machine, fridge/freezer and microwave. Adjoining the kitchen is a breakfast area with modern round glass table and ornate chairs which could easily be moved to the 3m x 2 m sun terrace which overlooks the pool and front garden. Stools around the granite work surface provide a choice of seating for different occasions. A very useful downstairs cloakroom is located off the main reception area.
A wide staircase leads up to an open and spacious landing area and the three bedrooms: The luxurious master bedroom has an en-suite bathroom and doors to a large balcony (6m x 2m), overlooking the pool and with views to the countryside backdrop. Antalya TÜRKİYE TURKEY Turkish Riviera
MEDITERRANEAN REGION - ANTALYA-Alanya-Side-Kemer
ANTALYA : Area : 20.815 km² Population : 1.132.211 (1990) . Because of the archaeological and natural riches of the area, Antalya is also known as the Turkish Riviera.
ANTALYA : The sun, sea, nature and history combine to form a very popular resort, highlighted by some of the cleanest beaches in the Mediterranean. The 630km shoreline of the province is liberally scattered with ancient cities, harbours, memorial tombs and beaches, secluded coves and lush forests, many of which are easily accessible from the city.
With its palm-lined boulevard, internationally-acclaimed marina, and old castle with traditional architecture, all set amidst a modern city, Antalya is a major tourist centre in Turkey. In addition to the wide selection of hotels, restaurants, bars, nightclubs and shops, the city also plays host to a number of sporting events throughout the year, like International Beach Volleyball, triathlon, golf tournaments, archery, tennis and canoeing competitions. The Cultural Centre, which opened in 1995, hosts cultural and art events in the fields of music, theatre, and creative arts. The main area of interest in the city is central old quarter within the Roman walls, known as Kaleici, and there are many good museums.
Districts: Akseki, Alanya, Elmali, Finike, Gazipasa, Gundogmus, Ibradi, Kale, Kas, Kemer, Korkutali, Kumluca, Manavgat and Serik are all towns in the province of Antalya.
ALANYA : With its vast beaches, historic sites, the innumerable fish restaurants of its modern hotel and motels and its cafes and bars, Alanya, is an outstanding holiday getaway.
The first thing that greets the visitor is the 13th century Seljuk Castle, which sits like a crown atop of Alanya Peninsula. Besides the impressive castle, there is the shipyard and the Red Tower (Kizil Kule) with monumental beauty. All along the road which runs beside the port are latenight cafes and bars and boutiques selling handicrafts, leather clothing, jewelry, handbags and local gourds painted with extraordinary colors. If you like to explore caves, then you must see Damlatas Cave.
Near the cave is the Ethnography Museum. By boat you can reach three other caves: the Phosphorous Cave with its phosphoric rocks, Girls Cave (Kizlar Cave), where pirates held their women prisoners, and Lovers Cave (Asiklar Cave). The cool shade of Dim Brook Valley, 15 km east of Alanya, is an ideal place to get away and relax. The sea all around Alanya is excellent for swimming. Alanya is a paradise of sun, sea and sand.
History
Based on skeletal evidence found between the villages of Bademagaci and Oba northeast of the city, Alanya is believed to have been inhabited in pre-historic times.Alanya was sometimes considered part of Cilicia and sometimes part of Pamphilia. It was later ruled by the Hittites and Romans respectively. In a bad state of repair after a number of invasions and wars, the city was rebuilt by the Romans. In the Byzantine era, Alanya was called Kolonoros, which means the 'beautiful mountain

Alanya Promotional Video | Alanya Präsentationsvideo | Alanya Tanıtım Filmi
The city of Alanya on the southern coast of Turkey is an area, as opposing hardly could be: rural idyll and party mile, long sandy beaches and ice cold mountain rivers, ancient ruins and modern hotel facilities - here Orient and Europe meet in a confined space!
Alanya is located about 130 km southeast of the provincial capital and the Antalya Airport. The town occupies the southern end of the main tourist towns along the endless sandy beaches of the Turkish Riviera, making it the ideal starting point for excursions to the original Turkey without having to abandon the well developed infrastructure of well-developed coastal cities.
The city is located on a small peninsula where extends the Taurus Mountains and the Mediterranean Sea in the south to the north.
Alanya is a very popular holiday destination with its admirable beaches, modern hotels, numerous fish restaurants, cafes, clubs and bars. The coffee houses surrounding the harbor are the most popular meeting places for tourists and residents. From the lovely Park beginning, along the harbor small shops lie side by side, where handicrafts, leather goods, jewelry, bags and painted with bright colors pumpkins are sold. In this region are located next three beaches which are awarded with the Blue Flag, a Damlataş Mağarası (Stalaktitengrotte), the Archaeology and Ethnology Museum, the Dim cave, the cave Fosforlu, the Kızlar and Aşıklar caves.
With this video, we present the impressions of the beautiful city of Antalya on the Turkish Riviera.
********************************************************************
