Located a few hours from the bustling city of Shanghai, is Mount Mogan / Moganshan — some people call it the Hamptons of China. It's hard to believe how different this place is to Shanghai despite its proximity. During my weekend getaway, I was lucky enough to stay at the Naked Castle in the Cliffside Suites. Beautiful scenery, hiking, spas, the sounds of nature — it was a magical weekend.

During the Summer holiday, we went to Naked Castle resort, at Moganshan national park, they had a fairy tale princess castle on the mountain and we stayed in the castle and swam, made pottery and bamboo baskets. Moganshan means Mogan Mountian in Chinese.

hi my friends!
so a few weeks ago, ran and I decided to spend a weekend exploring moganshan, a popular hiking spot in deqing. however, we decided to explore the area like a local and followed our inn owner's instructions while going to hike up the mountain. this resulted us in taking a very sketchy and quiet trail, with barely any civilisation around, and though we looked calm on the outside, we were panicking on the inside.
but of course, we made it to the top safe and sound! just a tip to those who decides to take this 'off-road' path: follow the red signs! they do lead you to the top and also, baidu maps is a lie.
I love nature and hiking so this was a real adventure for me, compared to the usual hikes I do. it is definitely not crowded at all, and way less touristy. 10/10 would recommend!
