Three Leaves, Let It Be! - Camping At Housatonic Meadows State Park With Aiman And Friends (P5)
Three Leaves, Let It Be! Plus packing up and cleaning the camp site. It is important to remind everyone who goes camping to return all the benches should you borrow from another empty sites. Also, you should pick up all of the trash and dispose off properly. All fires need to be extinguished as well. This is a continuation of Part 4: Camping At Housatonic Meadow State Park With Aiman And Friends.
It has been a fun two days, and this video will served as a memoir for Aiman and his friends in a distant future. It is something for them to look back and remember those younger days....as such picture time before everyone goes home is a must!
During last year's summer season, Aiman and his friends decided to spend a couple of days camping at the Housatonic Meadows State Park, a beautiful campground in northwest Connecticut. Camping under the tall pines on the riverbank at Housatonic Meadows evokes a genuine back-to-nature feeling. The clear, cold river water also provides a fine opportunity for fly fishermen to test their skills on trout and bass.
Camping has been an annual tradition for Aiman's entire family for many years, except for this year. As Aiman's older siblings are now adults, it is time for the kids to spend the time among themselves, and perhaps continue the tradition into the future. This year mark the first time Aiman's parents did not join them during the 2-day weekend camping. They came during daytime to bring food and helped with cooking. This was in August 2016.

Mohawk Mountain GoPro Montage 1/30/15
After an epic week of over a foot of snow, Mohawk Mountain (in Cornwall, CT) was primed for some great skiing. Here's some quick clips that I put together into a montage video from all of my adventures on the mountain on Friday, 1/30/15. There was powder to be found all over the mountain and in the trees, and amazing great conditions on the trails. Filmed with my GoPro Hero HD video camera with the helmet mount on 1/30/15.

Cunningham Tower in Cornwall CT
Hiking up to the old Cunningham Tower, located on the Mohawk Mountain, in Cromwell CT. Back in 1882 the Mohawk Mountain Historical Society decided to build this tower here, because you could see a beautiful panoramic view of Cromwell, Litchfield, Goshem, and Torrington. It cost them $338 to build the tower and a wooden platform. Later they built a cabin costing $400. They tried to acquire another $127 to place a telescope on the top. Before they could get the telescope, a tornado tore through. It destroyed the wooden platform and clasped the roof of the tower. Later the cabin was vandalized. 40 years later the land was purchased by Seymour Cunningham. In 1912 he rebuilt the tower. After that it was forgotten about and fell into disrepair. The floors caved in, then the state turn the mountain into a state park. They tore down the steps for safety reasons.
