Fukuoka vlog, exploring the seaside at Momochi Seaside Park, which is just on the edge of the city. A place to enjoy the beach and Japanese food. Then we took the ferry to Uminonakamichi, where there's lots to do for families, including a dolphin show, petting zoo and swimming pools.

FUKUOKA - Fukuoka Tower and Momochi Seaside Park
Fukuoka Tower is a 234-metre tall tower located in the Momochihama area of Fukuoka,. It is the tallest seaside tower in Japan. The highest observation deck at 123m has a 360degree view of the surrounding area.
Seaside Momochi is Fukuoka's modern waterfront located on reclaimed land along Hakata Bay.

Seaside Momochi is Fukuoka's modern waterfront located on reclaimed land along Hakata Bay. The area was originally developed as the site of the 1989 Asia Pacific Expo and was designed with attractive, modern features such as wide, tree lined streets, futuristic buildings and public parks.
The Momochihama seaside area in the Seaside Momochi Beach Park stretches in the north of the Fukuoka Tower, Fukuoka Yafuoku Dome and Hilton Fukuoka Sea Hawk, offering a splendid and quiet environment.
In the central area of this beach, there are a restaurant, a wedding hall, a marine sports shop and other facilities, which provides stylish and urban atmosphere. This place attracts many people who would like to enjoy the beach and ocean in summer. This park is an ideal place to spend a whole day having fun.

Most likely the beach water was cold, but my
(Maricar Reyes-Poon) hands were so numb I couldn't really feel it haha!

From the castle ruins, we walked (yes - WALKED) to Momochi Seaside Park. This beach is suppositely artifical, but it was a nice change from the inner city life near Canal City. We didn't go up the Fukuoka Tower, but we did go to the nearby Robosquare, a convention room of new robots.

Tempat ini bernama Momochi Seaside Park. Anehnya, meskipun disebut taman, tempat ini berisi beberapa tempat tanaman hijau dan tampaknya menjadi daerah resor yang agak pantai, hanya tempatnya berada di pantai. Fukuoka. A Sunday stroll around the Uminonakamichi Seaside Park and Marine World Aquarium. Just a little teaser what to expect. Great place to spend a whole day. Accessible via train or ferry.
Uminonakamichi Seaside Park (海の中道海浜公園, Uminonakamichi Kaihin Kōen), is a sprawling, family oriented public park located on a narrow peninsula across the bay from central Fukuoka. The park is made up of several different areas including flower gardens, playgrounds, an amusement park with ferris wheel, sports fields, a water park, a zoo and large open spaces and lawns perfect for picnicking.
Uminonakamichi Seaside Park measures nearly four kilometers from end to end, and many visitors will find it too expansive to cover on foot. To make the park more easily explorable, there is a network of cycling trails, and bicycles can be rented at the entrance gates for 400 yen per three hours or 700 yen per day. Alternatively, a bus operates seasonally between the park's major sites during spring and autumn and costs 100 yen per ride or 300 yen for a day pass.
Marine World Uminonakamichi, an aquarium which focuses on the aquatic life found around Kyushu. The aquarium's main tank is a huge, seven meter deep pool filled with all different kinds of marine life including over 120 sharks of 20 different varieties. There are also several outdoor tanks where you can experience feeding dolphins and sea lions.
In addition, the aquarium features a huge stadium pool where dolphin and sea lion shows are held daily. The stadium opens up to Hakata Bay on one side, giving spectators a beautiful view out to central Fukuoka during the shows. Note that the aquarium requires a separate entrance fee from Uminonakamichi Seaside Park.

I took short a 5 days winter vacation trip to Hakata, Fukuoka.
It was rather quiet during the New Year season in Japan since many people spend time with their families during this period.
It was my first time experiencing a Japanese New Year.
I tried osechi for the first time, hatsumode (first shrine visit of the year) and ate lots of mochi.
It was lovely.

Hello everyone!
Last weekend I did a lot of sightseeing things because I had three days off in a row. I visited Fukuoka Tower and Momochi Seaside park, I went to Maizuru Koen and visited the ruins of Fukuoka castle. And we did a trip to Nokonoshima island to watch the kosmos flowers which are blooming right now.
