Monaco Day Tour: Monte-Carlo, Prince’s Palace, Monaco Cathedral, Monaco Harbor
Monaco is known to be the wealthiest and the most expensive place on earth, having Monte-Carlo as its richest district, where you can find the Casino Monte-Carlo, The Grand Theatre Monaco and many luxury hotels and brands. According to BBC Katie Beyk 6 February 2018, over 30% of its 38,000 population is made up of millionaires.
It is the second smallest country in the world after Vatican, with an area of just 2.2 km2 (wiki)
The places we visited are:
Monte Carlo, the wealthiest district of Monaco, attracting the super rich and famous, it’s like their recreation area.
The Monte-Carlo Casino which is a gambling and an entertainment complex, which includes the beautiful Grand Théâtre de Monte Carlo or Salle Garnier.
The Prince’s Palace of Monaco, built in 1191, the official residence of Monaco.
The Saint Nicholas Cathedral or the Monaco Cathedral where the Grimaldis were buried.
We passed by the Exotic Garden, The Oceanographic Museum, The Oceanographic Institute, The Monaco Harbor, the luxury residencial buildings, hotels, boutiques, cars, shops, and the roads where the annual street circuit motor race Monaco Grand Prix is held.
The trip was organized by the Agencia Travel Group S.L, costs 59.50€ for a two-way ticket. No hotel and food. We departed from Barcelona at 11.30 pm Friday, and arrived in Monaco at 8:00 in the morning, Saturday.

Monaco Monte-Carlo Grand Tour of F1 Track, Palace and Marina
This is a little montage I put together after our 2 day visit to the amazing Monaco.
Monte Carlo is widely known for its casino and its prominence. The permanent population is about 15,000 in Quarter. Monte Carlo quarter includes not only Monte Carlo proper where the Le Grand Casino is located, it also includes the neighbourhoods of Saint-Michel, Saint-Roman/Tenao, and the beach community of Larvotto. It is also one of Monaco's 10 wards with a population of 3,500. It borders the French town of Beausoleil (sometimes referred to as Monte-Carlo-Supérieur).
Monte Carlo is host to most of the Circuit de Monaco, on which the Formula One Monaco Grand Prix takes place. It also hosts world championship boxing bouts, the European Poker Tour Grand Final and the World Backgammon Championship as well as fashion shows and other events. Although the Monte Carlo Masters tennis tournament is billed as taking place in the community, its actual location is in the adjacent French commune of Roquebrune-Cap-Martin. Monte Carlo has been visited by royalty as well as the general public and movie stars for decades. The Monte Carlo Rally is one of the longest running and most respected car rallies; from 1973 to 2008, it marked the start of each rally season as the first event on the World Rally Championship calendar, but is now part of the second-tier Intercontinental Rally Challenge. However, the rally takes place outside the Monte Carlo quarter.
Monte Carlo is one of Europe's leading tourist resorts, although many of the key tourist destinations are located in other parts of Monaco, including such attractions as Monaco Cathedral, the Napoleon Museum, the Oceanographic Museum and aquarium, and the Prince's Palace, all of which are located in Monaco-Ville.

2016 Monaco F1 Race Day from the Fairmont Monte Carlo
Since I was a kid I have watched the Monaco Grand Prix and wondered what it would be like to be there on race day...well today I found out !
We had the most amazing view from the Fairmont Hotel of the hairpin and were witness to an amazing race. The conditions at start with were awful. The support race was red flagged !
I have only included footage of the build up and post race, so no actual race footage, due to rights issues from FOM. I hope you enjoy the film !

As Monaco is one of the smallest independent states of the world, the highlights of Old Town and Monte Carlo are very easy to explore on foot. Your guide will walk you up and show you the Old Town with its narrow alleys, the cathedral where Prince Rainier and Grace Kelly got married and where they both now lie to rest and the exterior of the Prince's Palace with the changing of the guards.
Then your guide will take you walking along the famous port up to Monte Carlo (using elevators to go up). Arriving at the Casino Square, you'll have some time to explore the exclusive boutiques and chic cafes before walking back to the pier with your guide. Or if you wish to spend more time in Monte Carlo, you can walk back to the pier on your own.
Note: During summer months expect extreme heat, crowded venues and long lines. We recommend that you dress in layers, wear comfortable shoes, a hat, sunglasses and bring bottled water. Guests must be able to walk approximately 3 1/2 miles over various surfaces. Tour order may vary. Casino de Monte Carlo opens its Salles Americaines (free admission) at 2:00pm, with slot machines only. Salles Publiques (entrance fee of 10 Euros in cash) is open at 2:00pm for Roulette and slot machines. Visitors must be at least 18 years of age and show passport or ID Card. Morning tours to Monte Carlo will not be able to enter the Grand Casino. There is a free-admission, American-style casino at the Cafe de Paris, which opens at 10:00am.

Monaco Vlog 2018 | Hotel Hermitage | Monte Carlo Casino | Miss Gunner | Ashley Schuberg
My Monaco Vlog is here! This was my second visit to Monaco. Last time I visited it was the middle of August – it was so crazy busy with tourists and I didn’t have time to see Monaco properly as I was day-tripping from Nice, so this time I was keen to stick around for a few nights have a good look around.
This trip completely changed my opinion of the place – I fell in love. When I think of Monaco, I think of amazing architecture, a playground for the ultra-rich, and, of course, super cars and super yachts. It might not be the kind of destinations for everyone, but if you are looking to feast your eyes on luxury and dress to impress, then it’s a nice place to dust off a few of your more glamorous pieces.
I flew in from Gatwick airport to Nice. We had a driver booked who picked us up from the airport and the drive only took around 30 minutes, which was a lot shorter than I expected. I checked into Hotel Hermitage and was escorted to my amazing suite (Exclusive Sea View Terrace). I was so blown away by the amazing views overlooking the centre of Monaco and the marina. Every corner of the hotel was so unique and beautiful. I got my camera out and couldn’t stop snapping. The staff were friendly and helpful and every meal there was impeccable. Let’s just say it’s a bit of an instagrammer’s dream location. Even though it rained the whole time we were there, this didn’t really bother us because everything was so close and easy to walk to.
We stopped to get lunch at one of their restaurants, L’Hirondelle, which is right next to the pool area. The steak was absolutely amazing. It is casual and light dining. You can spend your day at the spa area and stroll into the restaurant in your dressing gown without feeling underdressed! It would have been even more amazing if it didn’t rain as the hotel has an amazing terrace area. Finishing up our day, we had dinner at Le Vistamar.
The restaurant is located at the bottom floor of the hotel. I love getting all dressed up for dinner and just walking down stairs to dine! Ladies who loves heels would know that the least walking the better! We had a wonderful sommelier that helped us picked all our wine to match our dinner. My highlights would have to be the dessert cart after dinner. Our waiter came to our table with a selection of amazing little desserts. I was too full by this time but he told me that I can take a small plate back to my room, just incase I wanted to eat some later! I thought that was such a cute touch. The hotel might appear very glamorous and formal, but the service is super friendly.
We woke up early in the morning to use the spa area (Thermes Marins). Despite the rain, the outdoor spa was stunning, and offers one of the best views from the hotel. Sitting in a hot tub overlooking Monaco! Yes! I wanted to make the most of our terrace and decided to get room service afterwards. The food was so amazing and their bowl of pastries would have to be one of the best I’ve ever had.
As part of the Leading Hotels of The World collection, I really couldn’t fault the hotel and service. Everything was done at such a high standard and the service was impeccable.
I will definitely be back and will be staying in Hotel Hermitage again! What an unforgettable stay. More Details and booking here
