Monkeys EVERYWHERE! Botanic Gardens Penang, Malaysia
Today we visited the Penang Botanical Gardens. We thought it would be nice to spend the afternoon strolling around the garden admiring the plants and flowers.
We did not expect to run into a troop of monkeys and we most certainly weren’t prepared to get up close and personal with a snake!

We said goodbye to our jobs, sold all our belongings, and left Australia on a one-way ticket to Shanghai with just each other and our backpacks! We plan to travel the world for a year, see as much as possible, meet as many people as we can, and most importantly MAKE OUR MONEY LAST!

George Town, Penang, Malaysia - What To Do On Your Day In Port
This is a short video about what you might do if George Town , Penang is a port stop on your cruise. We decided to just walk up to an area known as Little India. It was about 2 miles round trip from the ship. We spent 2 - 3 hours ashore. We only spent money on bottled water at a 7-11.
At Port Monkeys we sometimes just walk around in a port. Other times we purchase a ship sponsored shore excursion or a purchase a tour from a third party tour on shore.

I visit Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia for the first time, and get a taste of the new and old that makes up this city. We travel by skytrain and double decker bus, visit the city's largest Mosque and Buddhist temple. There are monkeys, a revolving tower, and a pay per use premium toilet.

Penang One Day Trip - Hidden places in Penang!
We decided to spend the day discovering our homeland, Penang!
Exploring the rural side of Penang that're often overlooked.
Locations included:
Saanen Dairy Goat Farm, Balik Pulau
(has other animals like ostrich, ducks, rabbits, dogs, hedgehogs, etc etc.. )
Sungai Burong, Balik Pulau
(Some sort of fishing village I guess? Good for photo shooting where no one's looking hah!)
Tree Monkey, Teluk Bahang
(Thai Cuisine, revisited multiple times afterwards! Good food, nice ambiance.)
Frog Hill, Guar Perahu, Tasek Gelugor
(Kinda hard to locate, it's safer to go with guys, worth visiting for photos)

Eating My Way Through Penang | Malaysia Day 5

Visiting The Edison George Town
Was out a lot this weekend. Started off with Inch Food Bar on Friday. Nice 2 piece band and happy hours all night long.
Went to The Edison George Town as a friend was staying there. Was so impressed by the small luxurious boutique hotel. Drove up all the way to Tree Monkey in Teluk Bahang. The Thai food was okay but the jungle dining experience with the sound of waves lapping on the shore was a nice change to the everyday city life. Went over to Hard Rock after dinner to watch Ray and the Jazzhats perform.
Gave my thoughts of Doctor Strange in 5 words. Had Hong Kee Wan Thun Mee for lunch. Showed off my basil plants. Ended the night with a Magnum Mini ice cream.

Hello there travel lovers! We decided to come to KL for a day to explore a bit of nature...all of which is possible in the heart of Kuala Lumpur city centre
Just 10 minutes from KL Sentral, we found 20.9 acres of land dedicated to some 3000 birds from at least 200 species - KL Bird Park. This was so much fun seeing so many different species of birds - we did not regret a thing and 100% value for money.
We then carried on with our day to KL Botanical Garden - Perdana Botanical Garden Kuala Lumpur. This place was so HUGE that we are coming back again....same goes for lok lok...we are in love!
