The liveliest beach action is at San Juan del Sur, once a sleepy little Pacific coast fishing village, now the country’s main seaside destination, complete with a handful of lovely hotels and port-of-call of cruise ships. But San Juan del Sur so far remains a laid back and charming place, whose beach is clean and mellow, whose lively seaside restaurants serve up heaping plates of fresh-caught snapper, shrimp and lobster, and whose evenings are rum-soaked and starry.

San Juan del Sur earns her role as a Mecca for surfers, who have a choice of neighboring beaches (14 of them) reached by dirt road or boat taxi.
Costa Esmeralda, a 30-mile stretch of Pacific shore newly established as a vacation hot spot among resort aficiandos and in-the-know wellness seekers. Located north of the beach town of San Juan de Sur, we could expect this Emerald Coast to one day welcome the arrival of luxury getaways treating guests to upscale suites, sybaritic spas and golf courses meandering through gorgeous landscape.

At the moment, the Emerald Coast---stretching between the towns of Tola and the picture-perfect fishing and lobstering village of El Astillero--- is indeed evolving, getting a high end makeover, yet the area remains tranquil and quiet, retaining for the most part, its off-the-beaten-track charm. At the same time, this stunning coastline as always enjoyed two of the most famous surf breaks in the country---Colorado and Popoyo

Welcome to the Nicaragua Travel Vlog Series!

Travelling in Nicaragua for the first time! We've spent 2 days in Managua, Nicaragua. There is nothing much to do in Managua, except to go see Masaya active volcano during the night, it's 30 minutes outside of Managua. Masaya Volcano is a national park, you can drive up to the the top and see lava flowing from above, it was an unreal experience! A MUST SEE IN NICARAGUA!!
