TRIPPED makes the motorcycle trip from Dalat, Vietnam to Nha Trang and encounters the best roads in Vietnam for motorbikes. Once in Nha Trang, the best thing to do is head straight to Monkey Island for some crazy monkey hijinks.
Turns out, Allison is not the biggest fan of mobs of insane monkeys and Fiona feels much the same way. On the flip side, the boys think Monkey Island is the single greatest tourist destination in the history of mankind, so they head there with bananas, Pringles, and hearts full of love for their little simian friends.

Nha Trang -Vietnam - Monkey Island- Feeding Wild Monkeys
Up close & personal with a few of the 1200 monkeys on the island. Listen to my screams (my cousin screamed too)! hahaha. It was soooo fun :) It would've been scary to do that on foot (these are wild monkeys that most likely haven’t been vaccinated) so we rode on a horse carriage for our safety, & theirs :)
The tour guide was very informative, he said if the monkey is carrying the baby on her back, it is not her real child, if she's carrying it on her belly, it's her own child.
The monkeys know to only stay within their territory. Once we got to a different territory, they stopped following us.
Sorry for the shaky video, but this by far is my best experience up close with the monkeys on the island :)
Monkey Island, Nha Trang- Where monkeys might attack you
This might not be for everyone and I know how some people feel towards this since it is a controversial tourist place as well. Go on your own risk and follow the keepers/guides. There are only a few of them there. DON'T BRING YOUR OWN FOOD and don't treat the monkeys like they're domestic pets as you're in their territory: monkeys are wild animals.
I purely went to see how they were treated and was glad to see that there weren't any cages(except for the goats and sheep so they don't get eaten by people). They have not moved any animals in or out of this island and it has always been the way it is, minus the tourist entrance. The way the goat was handled at the end was still unacceptable for me but I haven't seen what would've happened so who knows.

The sea water is so clean and emerald, the climate here is wonderful and nature are so beautiful. Come to Monkey Island Resort, you will have a wonderful time staying in bungalows, enjoy the fresh air of the ocean, enjoy swimming at the private beach, do kayaking in the bay, swimming, playing football, volleyball or billiard....or you can climb up the mountain for the spectacular view of Lan Ha bay.

He's carving out my cousin's wife's name 'Jenny'. He's been doing this for 38 Years, since he was 10! I was amazed.
I asked him if he can do this with his eyes closed, he said 'there are plenty of things I can do with my eyes closed, but I can't do this' hahaha. His speech is as fast as his carving skill :0

Just something I put together to highlight my trip to the Monkey Island, in Nha Trang Vietnam. It is bascily a tourist attraction, where hundreds of monkeys can roam around freely, and for some reason there is also a go cart track on the island (because monkey also drive gocart?). But yeah it was a beautiyful island, and it was really cool to be with the monkey upclose.

Description of Nha Trang:
Nha Trang, also known as the Riviera of the South China Sea, offers a six-kilometre stretch of beautiful coastline with white sandy beaches, clear waters with an abundance of marine life and thriving reefs, verdant mountain ranges at each end, as well as 19 untouched islets that are just a short boat ride away. Five Cool Facts About Nha Trang:
1. The Nha Trang was only a small fishing village until the 1970s and the name “Nha Trang” is believed to originate from “Ya Trang”, meaning Reed River, in Cham language.
2. The Vinpearl Cable Car is the longest over-water cable car in the world (3320 meters). Remember to try it when you want to visit Vinpearl Land and prepare to be amazed by the feeling of floating and looking at the poetic landscape from the height of 60 meters.
3. The beautiful Nha Trang Bay was acknowledged by Travel & Leisure as one of 29 most beautiful bays in the world for two consecutive years.
4. The city is often called the scuba diving centre of Vietnam. Scuba diving and snorkeling were first introduced to Vietnam in Nha Trang.
5. Historically, the city was known as Kauthara under the Champa and you can still see the last remnants of that time in the form of the Po Nagar Tower of Champa in Nha Trang.
