Eastern California- Part 2/4 (LAWS & MONO COUNTY)
Brian returns to his home state of California, this time to the state's rural far east, to show you landscapes, history and culture, not typically associated with the Golden State.
In Part 2, Brian bids farewell to the Gold Country and sets off for the Eastern Sierras, traveling through the unusual Alpine County. The only county in California with no incorporated city. After conquering the scenic Monitor Pass, Brian arrives in the Eastern Sierras, at Topaz Lake. From there he travels to Bridgeport and Mono Lake. After failing to reach Obsidian Dome, Brian heads to the colorful hot springs of the Long Valley Caldera. From there he attempts to reach the mysterious columns of Crowley Lake, but the road once again has other plans. Brian has no choice but to abandon his mission, and proceed to his next destination, the old railroad town of Laws, where he gets to experience a bit of the local history.

The twentienth video of the Jasmer Challenge Quest series has me driving south through the Eastern half of California, I stopped to grab a couple caches hidden by a friend of mine near his vacation home. Bodie, CA - Gold Mining Ghost Town Tour
Take a tour of Bodie, California's official gold mining ghost town, once notorious as the wildest town in the West. From 1877 to 1888, the community swelled to more than 10,000 residents and produced over $35 million in gold and silver. Now a State Historic Park, Bodie is the largest unrestored ghost town in the West. Visitors can explore the museum, follow a self guided tour, or wander the dirt streets peaking in the windows of the homes, stores, saloons, barbershops, and the church for a glimpse into life of a bygone era. Bodie State Historic Park California
This video is about the Bodie State Historic Park, also known as the Bodie Ghost Town. Bodie is located off California 270 in Bridgeport, Ca. This is a fun place to visit and see how people lived in the late 1800's. A lot of the homes ares still furnished as if they just got up, walked out the door, and never came back. Leaving all their furnishings in place. Check it out if you ever find yourself in that part of California.
