I need a drink! Montefioralle Winery
What was supposed to be a lovely ride on Chianti Road to a beautiful winery took an unexpected turn when I accidentally changed all of the settings on our GPS Navigation. We went off roading in the hills of Tuscany in a two wheel drive Opal. Luckily our destination was Montefioralle Winery for a wine tasting where we were able to finally relax.

Wine Tasting at Azienda Agricola Montefioralle Italy
We took an afternoon while in Italy to try a few of the local wines at a winery in Montefioralle in the middle of the Chianti Classico Region. After a short tour of the winery the owners gave us a taste of 4 of their Chianti and one desert wine served with cured meats and biscotti. Not only was the wine amazing but the view was something out of a movie. Here is their website if you want to plan a tasting or possibly order some of this delicious wine.
MONTEFIORALLE (GREVE IN CHIANTI, FIRENZE, ITALY)

Bike ride to Montefioralle in Chianti Tuscany Italy
Naturally my bike ride starts from Florence Italy to Montefioralle in Chianti Tuscany Italy. Originally it was a castle and on the course of the centuries it is transformed to characteristical rural homes. The gates and part of the walls are still visible. In this place gave origins of the Vespucci Family that gave birth to Amerigo Vespucci, a navigator who discovered America in 1492. America is named in honor of him. Montefioralle is one of the most beautiful villages in Italy. Here they produce a Chianti Classico wine bearing its name Montefioralle. It is now a part of the municipality of Greve in Chianti Tuscany Italy. Enjoy the nice view of the hills and listen to the songs of Ernie Oldfield.
