Kazan Travel Guide - A Russian Fantastic Experience
Kazan Travel Guide - A Russian Fantastic Experience
Kazan is the capital of Russia's republic of Tatarstan and the center of the world Tatar culture. With a population of about 1.3 million, a rich history, deep culture and strong economic influence, thus taking the title from Nizhny Novgorod. By many measures, Kazan has one of the highest standards of living in Russia, following after Moscow and St. Petersburg.
Kazan has long been a focal point of higher education in Russia. It remains a university city, with some of Russia's top universities including Kazan Federal University (KFU - formerly Kazan State University, TGGPU and the Kazan Finance Institute), Kazan State Technological University (KGTU), Kazan State Technical University (KAI), and KazanState Power Engineering University. Many foreign students study in Kazan, adding diversity to the city's tolerant.
Kazan peacefully blends Muslim and Christian cultures. There are also many other religions represented in Kazan. For example, in the city center there are synagogue and new catholic church. This vibrant city with over 1000 years of history is an excellent travel destination, and the number of tourists visiting is rapidly increasing every year.
Much of the city center is walkable, and the main attractions for tourists (the Kremlin and Bauman Street) are only for pedestrian traffic. Public buses are abundant and cheap, but one must have some knowledge of Russian to read the signs or ask where the buses are headed. Bus system maps are apparently hard to come by. Taxis are available and operate mostly an on-call service, rather than plying the streets for fares. They also congregate at a few taxi stands in predictable places such as the train station.
Kazan celebrated its 1000-year anniversary in 2005, for which the city got a major facelift. Visitors today will be able to see many of the reconstructed or newly-constructed sites from the anniversary celebration. Kazan offers a lot of various events you can visit during your stay here - international opera and ballet festival, different types of music festivals, popular singers concerts and many other interesting things to do.Cirque du Soleil regurlary brings its shows to Kazan. And a must-see event in Tatarstan is a national holiday Sabantuy - tatar summer festival, which is celebrated in the beginning of June.
Baumana Street has the largest collection of restaurants, cafes, and bars in the city. They range from acceptable to tourist traps. The city has a citadel (Russian: кремль, tr. kreml', or sometimes Tatar: kirman), which was declared a World Heritage Site in 2000. Major monuments in the Kremlin are the five-domed, six-columned Annunciation Cathedral (1561–62) and the mysterious, formerly leaning Söyembikä Tower, named after the last queen of Kazan and regarded as the city's most conspicuous landmark.
Also of interest are the towers and walls, erected in the 16th and 17th centuries but later reconstructed; the Qol-Şarif Mosque, which has been rebuilt inside the citadel; remains of the Saviour Monastery (a 16th-century cathedral demolished by the Bolsheviks) with the Spasskaya Tower; and the Governor's House (1843–53), designed by Konstantin Thon, now the Palace of the President of Tatarstan. Next door, the ornate baroque Sts-Peter-and-Paul's Cathedral on Qawi Nacmi Street and Marcani Mosque on Qayum Nasiri Street date back to the 18th century.

Kazan, the capital of the autonomous republic of Tatarstan, Russia. Korea, Germany and World Cup Group F will be held here. Nestled in the central and eastern Russia, the Volga River near Kazan has undergone a lot of small and large invasion and geographical nature of Mongolia. The population of Kazan is half Russian and half Tatar. Where are you from? I'm from Korea. It's all right here. There are also the Kremlin, and there are many museums. There is a legend in Kazan that tells about cats. There Finish There are cat statues I made rub the cat statue in a dream. Tatars are called to love ethnicity, especially cats. The Kazan-Kremlin is proud of Kazan, which was listed in UNESCO World Cultural Heritage in 2000. The Kazan-Kremlin is the only Tatar national fortress remaining in Russia. Danghamyeonseo Kazan was taken to the Islamic jonggyogwon the 1552, Ivan the Terrible has a unique form that is propagated after the two Christian religions coexist. Cool Sharif in Kazan observe the war with Ivan the Terrible named after the leader of the Dead Cool Mazar-Islam mosque is the largest mosques throughout Europe and Russia. A Muslim mystery hidden behind the brutal reign of Ivan IV. This place is also reconstructed recently by guessing the past. The Cull Sharif Temple was built in 2005. It took about 10 years to build. This temple has a national, cultural and religious resurrection of the Kazan Tatars. Ivan IV broke into Kazan in 1552 and there was no one Islamic temple for 450 years. The Cull-Sharif-Islamic mosque, with a glimpse of the history of Kazan, where two civilizations clashed, It is a searching place. Most of the people are Russian orthodox believers, especially in Russia. Tiles of geometric motifs are beautifully decorated with colorful Islamic decoration. The gold Arabic script on the ceiling is said to repeat the names of Koran and Allah. What is religion? It is Muslim. Cool Sharif is very good. This temple is more like a festival and a museum. I believe in Russian Orthodox. There is also a Russian Orthodox temple in one place, so I think everyone can live in peace. Here is a temple of all religions near Kazan. This is where the mosque and Russian Orthodox cathedral are located side by side. Two religions and cultures coexist in the Kazan-Kremlin.

Kazan with Barses and Zilants 2016

All foreigners who live, lived or have visited Russia can agree on one thing, Russia is an amazing country. Now I’m not gonna do a pitch on how amazing it is. It is however, my adopted country and I can say one thing for sure, Russia gets ridiculously bad press!!!!
The reason I started this project was so we can honestly show what Russia is really like. This is to benefit anybody wanting to visit Russia and wants honest information. This is not Government sponsored or any sort of propaganda. On this site you will see the good and the bad.
The Idea is simple. Anyone can upload a video here. As long as it is about Russia. Please make clips about anything to do with Russia. About your daily life, events, places to visit, work, study, living, hints.
If you are a foreigner living in Russia then you qualify for a FREE Action Camera! To help you to make videos! See the link on the homepage menu for more information.
If you are viewing this site as a guest, I hope that you enjoy the content. If you have any questions at all about anything related to Russia, feel free to contact me. I will be glad to assist you in any way that I can.
My name is Sam Hyland. I am an Englishman living in Russia since 2004. I have been involved in a number of different projects during my time here and had lots of experiences, good and bad. As a foreigner, I understand the difficulties of moving to Russia (Not because Russia is a big, bad, scary country) because while it maybe big, it is far from scary! Russia is an exciting country and has lots to offer anyone who would like to give it a try.
The main difficulty with coming to Russia is of course the language. If you don’t speak it, then it’s difficult to get information about how to come, where to stay and what to do. There are so many unanswered questions and huge media bias which provides a lack of credible information as to what life in Russia is genuinely like.
For this reason, above all, I decided to create this site.
So who am I? And why should you trust me?
As I already mentioned, I have lived here for a number of years. I also have gone through the whole process of relocating to a new country, and all the ups and downs as a foreigner living in Russia. Hopefully I can make your transition easier because of it.
When I first arrived in Russia, I had nobody to help me, so I found lots of foreign friends and spoke only English with them. They were my support network and if it wasn’t for them, then my life would have been very difficult.
Before arriving in Russia, I had no idea about what it would be like, it was a complete mystery. While I don’t want to ruin these first time experiences for you, I know that there are so many questions that you would like answering and through this site I can do that for you.
I have had the chance to meet and become friends with some fantastic people and had some really amazing experiences. Russian people are extremely hospitable and I have been lucky enough to be invited to many Russian weddings, festivals, parties, events and so much more….
I live in the city of Vladimir (2 hours drive from Moscow) This is a provincial Russian town with a population of about 350,000. Usually when people think about Russia, they think of Moscow or St Pertersburg, While these are both amazing and fascinating places, there is far more to Russia than just these cities.
During my time here I have worked in a number of professions and have a large contact base. I can help you with all sorts of questions. About life, study, work and travel in Russia! And if I don’t know the answer to your question, then I’m sure I know somebody who can answer your question!
What do I do? How do I live here?
Right now I’m an Affiliate Marketer, so I make money online. I also Run a small language school.
In 2012 I opened a Volunteer language school in Vladimir. For 4 years I employed volunteers from the UK who came to Russia to teach English and study Russian language. I ran this program with the association of Nottingham University, we took on many 3rd year Russian language students who lived, studied and taught in Vladimir. You can see our site, though it’s in Russian!
I have the experience of assisting foreigners with the process of travelling to Russia and I can help assist you, just reach out to me, I will be happy to help.
Below is some ways to get in contact with me

Don't forget that this is 360° video: you can change the angle of view.
Today, more than 900 apple trees grow in three gardens of Kolomenskoye: Kazansky, Dyakovsky and Voznesensky. We went straight to Dyakovsky garden, which is less crowded than other two. And we were surprisingly lucky: all the trees were in bloom! That was an incredibly beautiful sight...

Also here is the answer for a frequently asked question about true resolution of an 8K 360° video. Unlike standard videos, in a 360° video you can see only a part of original image (approximately 30 degrees out of 360). As result, the real resolution of the part you can see isn't bigger than 1.3K.

пришли в голову две мысли: 1. наблюдение, что пока что иностранцев не видно, китайцев например;
Musa Jalil (tat. Musa C?lil, was killed in 1944 in Berlin)
Well, we went to the local Arbat - Bauman Street
I tried to incline her to Armenian style - BaumYAn street
here probably most of the people are tourists
what cat
Kremlin to that side so we will go there
as soon as I started shooting the cat, everyone come here
all that I shoot becomes very popular instantly
Two thoughts came to mind: 1. the observation that so far foreigners are not visible, for example no Chinese here;
2. and second, that there is a feeling that the Tatars are the owners of this land, but not Moscow at all
and yet here is the Orthodox church on Bauman
and here is the Kazan Kremlin in the distance, looks like Disney Land
any, in Paris or florida
very similar to disney land
souvenir shop Kazan orphan
The best souvenir from Kazan author's camels, a unique product
how from underground the metro station Kremlin appeared
subway emblem is green here unlike other cities of Russia
not to be unfounded, I found a photo of Disney Land
and there really is a distant resemblance of the blue roofs on the elongated turrets
in fact, it turned out to be white - this is the wall of the Kremlin, and now the Kremlin itself
and what I took for the Kremlin is, of course, a mosque
it looks magical
It is worth noting that as a result there is a certain dualism at this place, even a trio
Kremlin, mosque and orthodox temple
I forgot to say
on the other hand there is an observation deck, from which you can see a restaurant in the form of an Egyptian pyramid, a stadium and a circus in the distance
all against the sun and should be poorly visible
and I'll run it again, it hurts this place is unique
recently I thought that the Kremlin is only in Moscow
Russia: Muscovites commemorate Odessa tragedy with floral tributes at 'Hero Cities' memorial
Hundreds of people laid flowers at the 'Hero Cities' memorial in Aleksandrovski Garden, Moscow, on Saturday, to commemorate the one-year anniversary of the deadly blaze at Odessa's Trade Unions House which claimed the lives of 48 anti-Kiev protesters.
Forty-eight people died, with over 200 injured, in a series of events that led to an inferno in the Trade Unions building in Odessa on May 2. After clashes erupted between anti-Maidan and pro-Maidan protesters, the latter group reportedly set fire to the Trade Unions House where anti-Maidan demonstrators had found refuge.

2018 FIFA World Cup: Volgograd Arena (360 VIDEO)
Volgograd Arena is being built on the site of the former stadium of local club Rotor Volgograd. During the construction process, numerous remnants from the Second World War were uncovered at the site, which was part of the Battle of Stalingrad (the city’s former name) during the conflict.
The stadium is located on the banks of the Volga River and at the foot of the Mamayev Kurgan war memorial complex – at the top of which is the giant “Motherland Calls” statue.
Volgograd Arena will host group stage matches during Russia 2018, and after the World Cup will become the new home of Rotor Volgograd.
