Ukrainian children taught to kill Russians at nationalist camp
Children as young as eight are being trained to defend their country from Russian invasion at a radical nationalist youth camp in Ukraine. Hidden in the west of the country the summer camp in Ternopil teaches children how to hold an assault rifle and sees them go through rigorous training, with one exercise involving holding a plank position before dinner. The 'Temper of will' camp, organised by the nationalist Svoboda party was visited by The Associated Press.

An American P-40 fighter aircraft from World War II was lifted from the bottom of the Kerch Strait, 6 kilometres (3.7 miles) from the Taman coast, drone footage shot on Friday showed. The craft was discovered by team working on the Kerch Strait Bridge.
The aircraft, which weighs more than 3,500 kilograms (7,716 pounds) and is believed to have been shot down during the 1943 Kerch-Eltigen operation, was raised using special equipment by the builders and engineers of the bridge.

Western Lights- Part 08 In The Paradise Of Christopher Columbus
This is a film I have stressed over for almost the entire 4 years that TruthJunkieMikael has been up and running. Western Lights, as innocent as it seems, was rocked by enormous amounts of scandal that didn't really have much to do with the floating school boys or school masters or film makers and government officials in France that made this movie such an anticipated project in the art film societies around the world. I'll be glad to discuss these issues in pm, but as for the film post itself, I have decided to only express what the movie has meant to me. With hope that it will help the film to endure and be loved the way it always should have been.
The Floating School was a project that existed for about 30 years. Allowing boys from all walks of life in France to leave the public school system and set out sometimes for a couple of years on long journeys around the world for the sake of a broader more hands on education and for the sake of introducing controversial social issues to young students without any present opposition.
In Western Lights, this particular group of 11 boys and 1 school master try and set sail in a boat of similar size as the ships used by Christopher Columbus, in an attempt to travel alone across the Atlantic to some of the first destinations that 16th century sailors discovered in the new world. Setting sail in Spain and ending the film in the Yucatán Peninsula. The film was issued in 11 Sonnets, covering the fun, loneliness, adventure and excitement, and bonding that existed in the several month long trip in these young boys lives. It's really a great film. One I have been familiar with since I was a young teen myself. I was inspired and jealous of the adventure, the very close friendships and the cultures and learning's they got to experience. So, inspired I almost ran away from home as a boy to find a ship that I could seek adventure and romance on.
It's a rather impractical notion in this day and age but I was a terribly romantic minded kid. Among lots of other things, I also wanted to run away with the circus, run away and be a pornographer/actor for Sebastian Bleisch, Roman Hysek and Pawel Rousek in early 90's Germany and Czechoslovakia, become pen pals with Sam Manzie, and runaway to Sweden to study philosophy with Ingmar Bergman. I know it sounds insane, and a laugh about it now, but I was a starkly open gay boy from a very, very young age, and in my experience LGBTP kids grow up in an entirely different realm of thought and reason then kids that are raised in much more common environments. Often, especially in the more conservative age I grew up in, we discover and embrace ideas and actions key to our way of life at a very young age, or we don't survive past those years.
The boys in Western Lights exemplified everything I wanted from my life. A special bond with each other and their school master. A desire for love and adventure. To do things that most kids would never imagine doing at any point in their lives. I'm sure a lot of you will think this is sappy, boring, sentimental crap, but this film is very special to me, and later in life when I discovered the scandals that rocked every foundation of French society and their government because of things that went on at times with the Floating Schools, I loved it even more. All my life I've always wanted to meet one of the boys that got to set sail on these adventures and tell him how much this movie meant to me as a child. An enjoyment and sentiment that I continue to feel now when I watch it. I hope you enjoy it and see the innocent and joyous abandon that I have always seen in this film and not the reputation that the French government of the time has said we should have of the film.

Tirpitz, a non squishy ship!
Some premium gameplay and a game where I don't get sunk for once.
Tirpitz was the second of two Bismarck-class battleships built for Nazi Germany's Kriegsmarine (navy) during World War II. Named after Grand Admiral Alfred von Tirpitz, the architect of the Kaiserliche Marine (Imperial Navy), the ship was laid down at the Kriegsmarinewerft Wilhelmshaven in November 1936 and her hull was launched two and a half years later. Work was completed in February 1941, when she was commissioned into the German fleet. Like her sister ship Bismarck, Tirpitz was armed with a main battery of eight 38-centimeter (15 in) guns in four twin turrets. After a series of wartime modifications she was 2,000 metric tons (2,000 long tons) heavier than Bismarck, making her the heaviest battleship ever built by a European navy.[3]
After completing sea trials in early 1941, Tirpitz briefly served as the centrepiece of the Baltic Fleet, which was intended to prevent a possible break-out attempt by the Soviet Baltic Fleet. In early 1942, the ship sailed to Norway to act as a deterrent against an Allied invasion. While stationed in Norway, Tirpitz was also intended to be used to intercept Allied convoys to the Soviet Union, and two such missions were attempted in 1942. Tirpitz acted as a fleet in being, forcing the British Royal Navy to retain significant naval forces in the area to contain the battleship.[4]
In September 1943, Tirpitz, along with the battleship Scharnhorst, bombarded Allied positions on Spitzbergen, the only time the ship used her main battery in an offensive role. Shortly thereafter, the ship was damaged in an attack by British mini-submarines and subsequently subjected to a series of large-scale air raids. On 12 November 1944, British Lancaster bombers equipped with 12,000-pound (5,400 kg) Tallboy bombs scored two direct hits and a near miss which caused the ship to capsize rapidly. A deck fire spread to the ammunition magazine for one of the main battery turrets, which caused a large explosion. Figures for the number of men killed in the attack range from 950 to 1,204. Between 1948 and 1957 the wreck was broken up by a joint Norwegian and German salvage operation.
