Bishkek, July 12 (ANI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday unveiled a statue of Mahatma Gandhi at Bishkek. PM Modi said that Mahatma Gandhi has shown a way to mitigate the menace of terror and climate change, adding that his ideals are relevant in all the eras. Meanwhile, Kyrgyzstan Prime Minister Temir Sariev also said that the preaching of Mahatma Gandhi has been widely accepted by countries all over the world. PM Modi earlier discussed a wide range of issues with Kyrgyzstan President Almazbek Sharshenovich Atambayev. Prime Minister Modi started his day today by paying his tributes at the Victory Monument in Bishkek. He has so far visited Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan and Ufa in Russia for the BRICS and SCO Summits.

Bishkek, July 12 (ANI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday held bilateral meeting with Kyrgyzstan's President Almazbek Atambayev. The two leaders were accompanied by a high level delegation and a wide range of issues were discussed. Modi said that there is a need to take forward the trade relations between India and Kyrgyzstan which have to a standstill. Modi said that giving him a chance to unveil Mahatma Gandhi's statue consolidates Kyrgyzstan's commitment towards peace and unity.

PM Narendra Modi arrived in Tajikistan on his last leg of 6-nation tour
Dushanbe, July 12 (ANI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday arrived in Dushanbe, Tajikistan on his last leg of 6-nation tour. He was received by Tajikistan PM Rasulzoda in Dushanbe. Earlier in the day in Bishkek, capital of Kyrgyzstan, India and Kyrgyzstan signed agreements in four key areas, including defence cooperation and cultural preservation. Modi has visited Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Ufa in Russia for the BRICS and SCO summits, Turkmenistan and Kyrgyzstan. He will return to India after completing his tour of Tajikistan, on Monday.

Bishkek, July 12 (ANI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who arrived in Bishkek on the penultimate stop of his Central Asian tour last night, paid his tributes at the Victory Monument on Sunday. PM Modi arrived in Kyrgystan’s capital Bishkek from Turkmenistan. He was received by a delegation of leaders at the airport. Modi was accorded a ceremonial welcome at the VVIP Lounge of Manas International Airport and a guard of honour during which the national anthems of India and Kyrgystan were played. Prime Minister Modi ends his Central Asia tour with a visit to Tajikistan before flying back home on July 13.

On the last leg of his eight-day six-nation tour, Prime Minister Narendra Modi today made a strong pitch for taking India's ties with Tajikistan to newer heights in diverse areas. Modi, who flew into the Tajik capital from Kyrgyzstan last night, was accorded a ceremonial reception before getting into talks on a wide range of issues with the Tajik leadership. I seek to take India's ties with Tajikistan to newer heights through this visit & expand the scale of cooperation, Modi tweeted. He will hold detailed discussions with President Emomali Rahmon on regional, bilateral and international issues of mutual interest. Tajikistan has almost 1,500 kilometres border with Afghanistan. So, the impact of what happens in Afghanistan concerns this area, concerns India, officials said. India is looking forward to having extensive discussions on the regional issues, particularly in the context of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) which is a regional security grouping concerned with issues like terrorism and drug trafficking.
