ZHINVALI, ANANURI & KAZBEGI TOUR || Georgia Trip
***********************************************
♡ PLEASE WATCH IN HD ♡

We were completely blown away by the beauty of the Caucasus Mountains!!
Zhinvali (Jinvali) water reservoir, also known as a lake is located on the Georgian Military Highway. Soviets constructed the dam in the 1980s.
Ananuri Castle or Fortress is one of the best-protected monuments in Georgia.
This place has been a battlefield for Georgians for so many times that they decided to call the road that is leading to Ananuri – the Georgian Military Road.
This medieval monument, which is very well preserved, was originally used for a military purpose and only later it became the residence of the Dukes of Aragvi, from the 13th century.
Kazbegi National Park is located on the northern slopes of the mighty Caucasus range.
According to Greek mythology, as punishment for teaching mankind how to make fire, the Titan Prometheus was chained to a mountainside in the Caucasus for all eternity. According to Georgian stories, it was the icy slopes of Kazbegi to which he was chained. Prometheus (known as Amirani in Georgia) was supposedly imprisoned in a cave 4,000 meters high. The cave, now called Betlemi (Bethlehem), later served as a dwelling for orthodox monks, and is said to have contained many sacred relics, including Abraham’s tent and Christ’s manger.

Prometheus Cave, Georgia : Пещера Прометея, Грузия
Prometheus cave is one of Georgia's natural wonders. 20 km northwest of Kutaisi, in the West of the country, this 1.7 km long cave is the biggest cave in Georgia. The cave was discovered in 1984 and was almost immediately developed into a show cave. Inside the cave are beautiful underground lakes, rivers, stalactites, stalagmites and so on. This cave is a must-see of Georgia.
Prometheus Cave on the Boat
Prometheus Cave on the Boat / Georgia Prometheus Cave (Kumistavi)
The cave was discovered on July 15, 1983 by an expedition from the Institute of Geography named after Kh. Vakhushti Bagrationi, although the entrance in the form of a large arch was known for a long time [1]. Since 1985, the conversion of the cave to a sightseeing object began. In 1989 a guided tour was already laid in the cave

►Jaskinia Prometeusza to jedna z głównych atrakcji Gruzji.

THE CITY OF NEW FORTRESS - RABATI | GEORGIA ADVENTURE | MCHL FERR TRAVEL
The old stone Rabati fortress, the main sight of the Akhaltsikhe town, is standing on the small hill on the very shores of the Potskhovi river. Its name comes from Arabic meaning “fortified place”. It is located on the western suburbs and can be seen practically from anywhere in the city. This military building erected in the 13th century had witnessed a lot over the centuries. The fortress had been destroyed several times, was often in a siege, as a result of which had absorbed tracks of different cultures and religions. In 2012 there was held a large reconstruction after which Rabati fortress in Akhaltsikhe turned into a town within the town. It has become not only a historical monument, but a real cultural city centre. There are church, mosque, synagogue, small park, History Museum, various shops, hotels and even civil registry office inside the fortress walls.- Avantour

EXPLORING GEORGIA: The Historic FORT OF GORI ???? (STALIN'S BIRTHPLACE)
SUBSCRIBE: - Gori Fortress is a medieval citadel in Georgia, standing above the city of Gori on a rocky hill. The fortress first appears in the 13th century records but archaeological evidence shows that the area had already been fortified in the last centuries BC. The fortress controlled major strategic and economic routes and accommodated a large garrison. In the 16th century the Ottomans captured it to overawe Tbilisi. In 1598 the Georgians besieged it to no avail; in 1599 they feigned a relaxation of the siege for Lent before launching a surprise attack at night to regain the citadel. The fortress continued to change hands between the Georgians and the Persians in the 17th century.
Georgia, a country at the intersection of Europe and Asia, is a former Soviet republic that’s home to Caucasus Mountain villages and Black Sea beaches. It’s famous for Vardzia, a sprawling cave monastery dating to the 12th century, and the ancient wine-growing region Kakheti. The capital, Tbilisi, is known for the diverse architecture and mazelike, cobblestone streets of its old town.

Borjomi’s mineral water park, dating back to 1850, occupies a narrow, wooded valley. To find it, cross the little Borjomula River just east of Borjomi Park train station, turn right along 9 Aprili and go 600m. The original warm mineral spring, named Ekaterina Spring, sits beneath a pavilion straight ahead of the park entrance (you can fill bottles from it). The commercial Borjomi bottling plants today draw their water from other mineral springs – there are about 40 in the area.
Another interesting angle is you can see this waterfall from above, and Prometheus statue is there. You can take Borjomi Cable car, which is located just in the front before entrance gates of the park.
There are some attractions for kids available in Borjomi mineral water, like there ae a pirate ship, roller coasters and other.
#BorjomiMineralWaterPark occupies a narrow, wooded valley and is a lovely place to walk. This was where the original mineral spring was discovered, and named Yekaterinsky Spring after the governor’s daughter, who was cured here. The park itself dates from 1850. To reach it, cross the little Borjomula River just east of Borjomi Park station, turn right along 9 Aprili and go 600m. Warm mineral water flows from taps in a pavilion straight in front of the entrance (you can fill bottles with it). Most of the park’s facilities – cafes, funfair attractions, a cinema and a cable car (1 GEL each way) which will carry you up to a hilltop Ferris wheel – only operate from about late June to early September. If you walk about 3km upstream through the park, you’ll find a small, natural, spring-fed swimming pool with a constant temperature of about 27°C.
A second public mineral-water spring (this one cold) emerges inside a metal cage over the Borjomula River just outside the park: cross the footbridge opposite 9 Aprili 46, then go left for about 40m. The Borjomi bottling plants draw their water from other mineral springs – there are about 40 in the area.

#TheBorjomiKharagauliNationalPark
(BKNP)(Georgian: ბორჯომ-ხარაგაულის ეროვნული პარკი, borjom-kharagaulis erovnuli parki) is a protected area in central Georgia, situated in the Lesser Caucasus, southwest to the nation's capital of Tbilisi. Its ecoregion is that of the Caucasus mixed forests.
One of the largest national parks in Georgia, it includes six administrative districts stretching from the resort of Borjomi to the town of Kharagauli. Together with adjacent Borjomi Nature Reserve, the total area is 851 square kilometres, i.e. more than 1 % of the total territory of Georgia. The park was founded in 1995 and officially inaugurated in 2001.
Its particular uniqueness is diversity of geographical and ecological zones, landscapes, historical monuments and rich flora and fauna. The park has rapidly developing tourist infrastructure.
#HISTORY
The history of the park dates back to Medieval times when it was used primarily by the local aristocracy for hunting.
When Georgia lost its independence and became part of the Russian Empire, the Grand Duke Michael Nicolaievich was given the post of Governor General of Transcaucasia. He found the local beauty of the Borjomi park so impressive he decided to build his personal summer residence there.
Noticeable changes to the park came when the Grand Duke Michael restricted any lumbering or hunting without permission, thus laying the foundation for the park's future.
In 1995, the Borjomi-Kharagauli National Park was endorsed and created with the support of the World Wildlife Fund and the German government, and was officially inaugurated in 2001.
