Listening is a more natural way of learning, when compared to reading. Written language only began at around 3200 BC, but spoken language has existed long ago.
Learning by listening is a great way to:
- increases imagination and understanding
- improves your listening skills
- improves your own spoken accent
- learn while on the move
- reduce eye strain
Now learn the vast amount of general knowledge available on Wikipedia through audio (audio article). You could even learn subconsciously by playing the audio while you are sleeping! If you are planning to listen a lot, you could try using a bone conduction headphone, or a standard speaker instead of an earphone.

(16 Feb 2017) RESTRICTION SUMMARY: AP CLIENTS ONLY
NATO TV - AP CLIENTS ONLY
Brussels - 16 February 2017
1. Various of Jens Stoltenberg, NATO Secretary-General, entering news conference
2. SOUNDBITE (English) Jens Stoltenberg, NATO Secretary-General:
NATO's ability to respond rapidly to any threat depends on our robust and flexible command structure. So today we agreed on the next steps to modernise the NATO command structure, based on recommendations from our senior commanders. We also received an update on the deployment of our new deterrent force in Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and Poland. Troops have started to arrive and we expect the four multinational battle groups to be fully operational by June. They are a clear demonstration of NATO's transatlantic unity and resolve, and they send a clear message to any potential aggressor.
3. Cutaway of reporter asking question
4. SOUNDBITE (English) Jens Stoltenberg, NATO Secretary-General:
Our deployments are defensive and measured. We will not match Russia soldier for soldier, tank for tank, or plane for plane. Our aim is to prevent conflict, not to provoke it.
5. Stoltenberg talking
STORYLINE:
NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg said on Thursday that he expects four multinational battle groups to be operational in the Baltic states by June.
Speaking after the opening meeting on the last day of a two-day Brussels summit, Stoltenberg said the battle groups were a clear demonstration of NATO's transatlantic unity and resolve.
They send a clear message to any potential aggressor, he added.
However, Stoltenberg stressed that NATO's deployments in the region were defensive and measured and would not match the forces of nearby Russia on a like-for-like basis.

Austria: Court case against asylum seekers accused of rape begins in Vienna
A court case investigating the role of nine Iraqi asylum seekers in the alleged rape of a 28-year-old woman on New Year's Eve 2015 began at Vienna's regional court for criminal cases, Tuesday.
SOT, Andreas Reichenbach, defence lawyer (German): Two of my clients are pleading not guilty. One of my clients will plead partly guilty, because he had sex with the woman. The question is, and that is part of the court-case, if the woman was really that much unconscious, as it is stated. As said before, there is much evidence this was not the case.
SOT, Andreas Reichenbach, defence lawyer (German): There are traces of DNA. One of my clients obviously had sex with the victim. There is no question about it, but a DNA-trace does not tell in which way it was had. That is the point.
SOT, Christian Lackner, defence lawyer (German): In my opinion this has happened because of strong alcohol. Imagine, that was happening on New Year's. They were all, as far as I know from the court records, very much drunk, and I know also from my client, that he was very much drunk. If he, that drunk, was still master of his own senses. That needs to be found out in the court case by the judge.
SOT, Michael Schnarch, defence lawyer (German): My client will say that he forced the woman into sexual intercourse and he will also say that the woman did not give her approval. There is nothing more I can say. She did not fight back; she was so drunk that she could not give her approval. That is also an important point.
SOT, Michael Schnarch, defence lawyer (German): Of course there is no discussion about it: he is feeling sorry. He must feel sorry, etc. A woman has been hurt. This woman will have effects for the rest of her life. And you must feel sorry, this is indescribable.

She added that Russian diplomats were always fulfilling their duties within the international diplomatic rules and regulations.
When asked to comment on a claim by US Senator John McCain, made on Tuesday, that Russia has violated the Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces Treaty, Zakharova stated that an explicit comment was being prepared, adding that John MCCain exists, yes.
Asked about whether Crimea could be returned to Ukraine as a way to reach the annulment of sanctions on Russia, Zakharova said Russia doesn't return its territories.

When a Nation Died || Killing Fields and S-21 !!!
This video is about the 4-year (1975-1979) dark history of Cambodia.
In 1975, Khmer Rouge fighters invaded Phnom Penh and took over the city. With the capital in its grasp, the Khmer Rouge had won the civil war and, thus, ruled the country.
Lasting for four years (between 1975 and 1979), the Cambodian Genocide was an explosion of mass violence that saw between 1.5 and 3 million people killed at the hands of the Khmer Rouge, a communist political group. The Khmer Rouge had taken power in the country following the Cambodian Civil War. During their brutal four-year rule, the Khmer Rouge was responsible for the deaths of nearly 30 per cent of Cambodians.
The Vietnamese Army invaded Cambodia in 1979 and removed Pol Pot and the Khmer Rouge from power.
