Xinyi Public Assembly Hall (Taipei, Taiwan)
The Xinyi Public Assembly Hall is located at a corner in Taipei’s high-end Xinyi District and consists of a few low-rise houses sitting closely together. These somewhat crowded buildings chronicled the tears and joy of veterans who migrated to Taiwan in the early days. This is the former site of Taipei City’s Military Dependents’ Village, called the “Sisinan Village”.
With the increasingly fast economic growth and the rising living standard, these old houses no longer serve the needs of the residents. The City Government initially planned to rebuild them in 1999. However, through persuasion from the cultural circles, the City Government designated this premise as the Cultural Hall and Cultural Park of Xinyi District, and started operation in 2003.
The Hall consists of four symmetrical buildings. The houses that sat tightly next to each other have been converted into an open space for events and exhibitions. The premise now consists of an exhibition hall, Military Dependents’ Village Exhibition Hall, performance hall and community hall. The exterior still retains the unique low-rise and the simple, rustic style of the Military Dependents’ Village.
On weekends, the square is occupied by a creative market, agricultural market and live band. As a performance and community hall.

We basically survey every street first in Taipei, then in Taiwan and then later on in the whole of Asia Pacific. We derive from images. We derive attributes, like lane information or street signs, street names, one-way restrictions. A lot of things. But ultimately, thanks to the video images, we can make a real virtual 3-D world. So in the future, you'll see maps instead of being two dimensional, there'll be three dimensional. They will give an exact copy of what you see in reality.

Well, actually the technology that is used is pretty close to video games. The only difference there is with video games is artificial reality. Here it's very close to the real reality. So it's actually a copy in the virtual world of what you see outside in the city.

You have to drive safely and follow traffic regulations, and the recent driving conditions. Second, you have to avoid being blocked by, for example, some heavy goods vehicles. You have to keep away from them while driving, so that the camera will not be obstructed by them. What is more is the weather. Since we use cameras to collect data, they will be affected under different weather conditions. Our system will examine itself automatically. We have to avoid these problem as well and therefore weather is also a concern.

In Asia, it (GPS) is more prevalent among hi-tech countries like Australia, New Zealand and Japan. Japan is an area that highly adopts new information technology. But we see a prospect of China market. China had a rapid growth last year. We estimated the export to China will exceed 800,000 sets.

Shuishe Village / 水社 is where the bus station is located and it's got a Starbucks, 7-Elevens, souvenir shops, a visitor center, and a few places to rent bikes and scooters. 台灣在地的大大小小旅遊記事by棟梁-Travel notes by tungliang lin

Where to stay in Taiwan?
My experience was great! staying in a hotel capsule is very new to my experience and i didn't regret it.. The hotel is very clean and you can sleep well without hearing loud noises from the outside.. I paid
for only NTD450 per night..
Hey Bear Capsule Hotel is located in SanChong District in New Taipei City. Don’t be confused with New Taipei and Taipei City. It’s two different cities but are very close to each other. Now, even though Hey Bear isn’t located in central Taipei, it is very much accessible due to the close proximity of the nearest train station, Taipei Bridge MRT. So close that you just have to cross the street to get there! How’s that for convenience!
Taipei Bridge MRT is just 5 train stops away from Taipei Main station and 2 stops away from the Tamsui-Xinyi red line where most of the tourist spots are located.
