WATFORD'S LOCAL HERO 2014: AND THE WINNER IS.......RIO!!!
Rio was nominated for Watford's Local Hero 2014 - a competition run by The Watford Observer - and he was thrilled when he made the shortlist, having been chosen by an independent panel of judges!
Then it was all down to the public vote which opened on 4th November, and after six days of asking friends, family and fans around the world to share the voting link on social media, we waited with baited breath for the announcement on 12th November and we were over the moon when we received the call from The Watford Observer to say that Rio had one!
We were so excited to tell our little Blade Boy the amazing news that he'd won the competition and wanted to capture his reaction on video to share with all his fans - Rio was ecstatic and literally jumped for joy! He can't wait to turn the Watford Intu Christmas Lights on next Thursday 20th November 2014 and is counting down the days!
