Moonshine Arch Vernal Utah
Filmed at Moonshine Arch near Vernal Utah. Flight Sights explores a unique natural rock arch. Located near Dinosaur National Monument, this arch is on BLM land and is a popular hike. Bring water with you if you go as the hike has moderate elevation gain and is in the desert. Early morning or late evening hikes are best. Always go prepared.
Be sure to visit Dinosaur National Monument while in the area. Well worth a trip.

Utah Bike Trail The Flume Trail Vernal, Utah | MTB Trails
Utah bike trail footage mountain biking The Flume Trail. The Flume MTB Trail is located in Dry Fork Canyon just North of Vernal, Utah. The Flume trail is an alpine singletrack that starts out really flowy but after the 2nd Bridge on your way down it gets pretty technical. There are several rock gardens, boulders, and a couple log hops. This is one of my favorite trails in the Vernal area because it has both fast and flowy sections along with advanced technical sections, and don't forget the awesome scenery!

Fantasy Canyon - Near Vernal, Utah
Explore the land where Dr. Suess would have lived. Fantasy Canyon is well known for its unusual rock formations and geological richness. Where has all the water gone in Steinaker Reservoir in Vernal, Utah?
Bureau of Reclamation is draining the water to fix Steinaker Dam. Construction on the Steinaker Dam should be completed at the end of 2019. However, schedules can always change in construction but the repairs need to be made. They plan to capture the peak runoff season in the late Spring of 2019. There are signs posted that say not to use your metal detector as well.

Fantasy Canyon, near Vernal, Utah
Fantasy Canyon is an unusual geologic formation out in the desert, forty miles South of Vernal in northeastern Utah. The open desert here is dotted with hundreds of automatic oil and gas-drilling stations.
The formations in Fantasy Canyon are amazingly complex, and are the result of different hardnesses of sandstone layers eroding at slightly different rates.
This is a fascinating park one usually has to oneself!

Massey's Cave (aka Main Dry Fork Cave) near Vernal Utah
Massey's Cave (aka Main Dry Fork Cave) is a frequently visited and vandalized cave. It's easily accessible with a passenger car, and easily spotted. If you're looking for a pristine wilderness type of cave, this is not it. But it is a fun little cave if one is in the area. It has about 1300 feet of passage, and has a few speleothems.
