TRANSFORMATION TO MOORES ISLAND
500,000 Pounds of Relief to Moore's Island, Bahamas!
There is nothing a community can’t accomplish when working together. We know because we have seen it in Moore's Island, Bahamas after Hurricane Dorian.
Blue Tide Marine, working with Mega Yacht Global and Tropic Ocean Airways, brought 500,000 pounds of Global Empowerment Mission's aid and supplies for the residents of Moore’s Island from a warehouse in Miami, ready to turn an empty building into an official Distribution Center.
We knew we could get it all to the dock but with minimal tenders and having to take each pallet apart, it would be difficult and time consuming.
BTM was ready to do the work but after spending weeks visiting the island, we also knew the resilient spirit there wouldn’t let us do it alone.
From the small to large local fishing boats that met us out at sea and hauled the goods to shore… to those who worked on the dock and included us in morning prayer as we organized the distribution center... it was a true community effort that we were honored to be a part of.

Your donations going directly to private relief flights into some of the more remote and forgotten parts of the Bahamas. Largely areas like Sweetings Cay, Pelican Point, High Rock, and Mores Island aren't on the radar of the major groups, so small efforts yielded large returns in these early days. As time passes, the larger groups will wind up to speed and provide the right relief efforts on a large scale that will hopefully provide more safety and comfort to those affected.
