Canada Road Trip: Saskatchewan & Alberta
A little over two years ago we made the decision to experiment with life. We wanted to try new things, become better versions of ourselves, and test out some of the new information we were learning.
People like Bob Proctor, Tony Robbins, Abraham Hicks, and Kevin Trudeau talked about how you are the one that creates your circumstance and you can create whatever you want.
At first we didn't really believe it 100%, but thought better to test it out for ourselves instead of just writing it off as crazy talk. We called it our life experiment.
Fast forward to present day and we know it's true. We are the ones that control our lives and we want to create the best lives we can!
So we bought a little tear drop trailer, hit the road with the intention to start experiencing more of this awesome planet we call home.
We are excited to share our journey with you as we learn, grow, fall down and get back up. It isn't always perfect but that's what makes it an adventure.
If you're curious how we are able to travel full time and live the way we do you can download my free ebook here

MOOSE walking towards MOOSE JAW SASKATCHEWAN!
An actual moose trotting toward MOOSE JAW, Saskatchewan!
Right?!
That's so darn Canadian!
Saw this magnificent beast having an early morning stroll along the Trans-Canada highway! Had to quietly pull over and check it out (at a safe distance of course, didn't want to disturb it's morning jog or get myself piledrivin into the prairie soil)
Made my day!
I'm from West Virginia so this was the first time I ever seen one
Our Moose Jaw Storm Trip August 1, 2014
Plow winds, Rain, Cold, Hot, maybe Hail. We hit it all. Although this wasn't a BACA ride it served as a practice run that we'll ride into the darkness of Hell and back for any Child in our Family. As we get in the middle of this another storm cell starts heading toward us from behind us and to the left and they were definitely gonna cross. Most vehicles pulled over to the side and waited out the storm and so would have I if I had a roof :-) The first stop was to layer up with a bit more gear and the second stop was when we broke through the storm and then got SLAMMED, you'll see the camera turns upside down when the wind throws us and the bikes over. Lesson of the day, and we knew' this, NEVER EVER turn your back on the enemy even when the enemy is Weather.

outh Saskatchewan River Camping and Canoe Trip. Alberta, Canada July 2011 - 2
outh Saskatchewan River Camping and Canoe Trip, Alberta, Canada 2011
A nice short trip of about 12 hours of easy paddling in the first week of July while the water levels are still relatively high. (Peak levels occur approximately 2 weeks prior).
100 kms paddling from the beginning of the South Saskatchewan River to Medicine Hat, Alberta, Canada. Average speed is 8 km/hr. Suited to novice to intermediate paddlers. A few ripples in the river is about all you come across. No rapids. Beautiful scenery and you may see no one else the entire trip. Take LOT'S of mosquito repellent and sun screen. All land is (Private Property) so either camp below the high water line (legal on private property) or on an island as there are several. (Government property) Wildlife you may expect to see; Deer, Rattle Snake, Eagles and Hawks, Pelicans, Beaver, Coyote, Fox and an abundance of beautifully colored birds which I cannot identify. I have no information about fishing however we saw several large fish jumping. Not advised to eat fish or fresh water clams from this river. Excellent photo opportunities.

Moose Jaw Tunnels
Beneath the streets of Moose Jaw lie a labyrinth of tunnels with a sordid history. Originally built by frightened Chinese workers to hide from CPR railway ruffians, the tunnels were repurposed in the 1920′s as a bootlegger supply line during prohibition. Gangsters like Al Capone paid regular visits to the city, roaming freely and protected by a corrupt police chief. Officials denied the tunnels until well into the 1970′s. Today, it's re-enactors share the tall tales of this fascinating underworld of Canadian history.

Touring The Big Muddy Badlands
The Big Muddy Badlands are filled with stunning landscapes and rich history.I recently spent an entire day discovering the best way of exploring it all - joining a Badlands Tour hosted by Coronach Tourism. From a twenty metre wide ceremonial circle to the caves once used by notorious outlaws like Sam Kelly, the tour takes you places typically inaccessible to the public and allows you to explore freely.
The tours begin in the town of Coronach and the onslaught of knowledge begins right away and doesn’t stop. For example, did you know that the town was named after the winning horse in the 1926 Epsom Downs Derby in London, England? You travel between points of interest by vehicle and there’s a nifty radio system that allows all vehicles to hear the tour guide through an FM frequency. If you choose the “long tour” you’ll be spending all day out and about, so be sure to pack and lunch and have a full tank of gas before departing.
If you're interested in joining one of these fun tours, visit Coronach's website:
