DAY 1 dHerbertsAdventure in MOROCCO @ Riad Atlas Mejbar and Moroccan Nature Trail
**FIRST, This is NOT a sponsored video. Just want to share our amazing travel experience while in Morocco**
Our first day starts in this beautiful RIAD ATLAS MEJBAR, the Riad is beautifully ornate with Moroccan tiles to give you the perfect Moroccan experience. We have two bedrooms to accommodate a big family of 6, beds are spacious and comfortable. Each room have their individuals bathroom and air condition. The Riad is super clean, quiet, affordable and a walking distance to the SOUK and other historical landmarks ( if you prefer to get a cab its just right outside and super cheap too )
The host Mr. Omar is the nicest host we've ever met along with the 2 other staff that runs the Riad.
The breakfast is truly satisfying and served right on time, the lunch is very generous and delicious. The swimming pool is a big bonus for our kids to enjoy, and our favorite Mint Tea can be served anytime we want!!
From there our personal tour guide Yassin, from MOROCCAN NATURE TRAIL tour company pick us up to start our 3 days journey to see the desert. Yassin and Jamal made this trip fun and very comfortable. Although it was Ramadan, we don't find any difference finding food and beverages, they are super kind assisting us with our needs. The drive to Atlas Mountain which is known to be one of the worlds dangerous road we're a lil rough but they break down the trip to couple of stops before getting to our first destination, where we have to spend the night and stay in another beautiful Riad near the Gorge Dades.
WE HIGHLY recommend getting a tour company like the Moroccan Nature Trail when visiting Morocco especially for families, this will make your travel easier without any worries of planing where to stay and what to see, the tour company will take care all of your needs and what you want to see and do while in Morocco. From airport pick up and drop off to your flight back, it's worth the money and the experience you will get is phenomenal ...

we decided to do this airbnb experience hike to the Atlas Mountains + Imlil Valley. We hiked up to the waterfall and then hiked to a berber village for a homemade organic lunch. I HIGHLY recommend this day trip with Mohammed + Wassim -- they were incredibly sweet and made the trip even better.

Morocco Travel Guide: Marrakech, Atlas Mountains and Essaouira
On this trip you’ll be heading to Marrakech, the heart of Morocco, where spices linger in the market air, the sun sets on street performers, and the senses are treated to a whirlwind of sights and sounds. Discover life in the sprawling medina or get lost in the alleyways towards the souqs. Marvel at the tilework found in the royal Bahia Palace and Dar Si Said or learn how ancient traditions are woven into the fabric of Marrakech; there’s more than one way to fall in love with this cosmopolitan city.
Morocco is a North African country renowned for diversity, and this is one of the things that make it such a fascinating destination to visit. It’s a place where one will find many cultural influences, and the landscape offers visitors a chance to experience the ocean, Atlas Mountain peaks and the Sahara Desert all in one go. You might be travelling to one country, but in Morocco, there is a whole world to explore.
In Essaouira discover how coastal winds and different tribes can shape a port city. It’s a melting pot with Arab, Berber and European influences. While the sea attracts windsurfers, culture vultures flock to the medina’s alleyways for galleries and a spot of people watching. The vibrancy found in the country’s cities is matched by life in the Middle Atlas Mountains, where visitors can swap people watching and fortified walls for hiking, folk music and stargazing.
Observe nomadic shepherds, hike through limestone river canyons, enjoy impressive views and Berber hospitality and warmth as you make Midelt your basecamp for the Middle Atlas Mountains. As the sun goes down on the soaring peaks, the stars will light up the skies.
If we’ve inspired you to explore this north African country further, head over to TourRadar for all the different ways you can discover a world of flavour, culture and history in Morocco.

A Day In The Three Valleys - The Atlas Mountains - Morocco Highlights
A Day In The Three Valleys - The Atlas Mountains - Morocco Highlights
In November 2016 we headed back to Africa for our first adventure in Morocco, when the craziness of Marrakech got too much we headed out on a trip to 'the three valleys' where we visited a traditional Berber market, Argon Oil woman plantation, drove up into the mountains and visited a Berber house in the mountains where we experienced a traditional Berber lunch at the foot of The Atlas Mountains. Hands down the best view we've ever had during a meal.
Oh and we made friends with some camels!

Cycling around the world: VLOG 10 - HEAT AND HEADWIND - Sahara, Morocco
Hello and welcome to our channel!
We are Peyman and Matilda and since 2018 we are cycling around the world and making vlog-style documentary videos about our adventures. We set out to go for 10 years, so there are still at least 9 adventure filled years left of our journey!
Currently we are cycling the west coast of Africa southwards. Welcome to join our adventures!
In this vlog we have to race along the edge of the Sahara desert to the Atlantic coast in summer season. We are in a rush because we have to make it to Mauritania before our Moroccan visas expire. Every day temperatures raised well over 40°C and we were fighting strong headwinds almost every single day. How will we manage some of the toughest conditions we have ever faced?

OURIKA VALLEY [MOROCCO] - High Atlas Mountains Adventure!
Day trip to Ourika Valley in the High Atlas mountain range of Morocco! Waterfall hike from Setti Fatma, we drove out of Marrakech to escape the hustle and bustle. Enjoying a day out in nature and learning some of the Berber culture, Mint Tea, tagine by the river and Argan oil. We then hiked up the 7 waterfalls hike although we only saw 1 main waterfall before heading back down, our trail guide told us the other waterfalls were much further and more like a multi day hike. Make sure you bring some sturdy shoes if you're heading this way as the waterfall hike is quite slippery.
Like and subscribe if you enjoy the video!
Stopping at:
- traditional Berber home for some mint tea
- Argan oil cooperative for divorced and widowed women
- Setti Fatma town for lunch
- 7 waterfalls hike from Setti Fatma Setti Fatma et les 7 Cascades
