Windmills of Lincolnshire: Moulton Windmill
This video documents the windmill at Moulton in Lincolnshire as it looks today. Me and my sister have had a lifelong interest in tall and interesting buildings such as windmills, and aim to continue to go round many of the windmills in the region and other counties in England.
Moulton Windmill at 100ft tall is the tallest windmill in the UK and was built in 1822. In recent years it has undergone significant restoration work and is open to the public as a visitors attraction. In recent years it featured on the television programme Restoration, hosted by Griff Rhys Jones.
Filmed on my Sony Cybershot DSC-H55 digital camera on 2nd July 2015.
Tour of Moulton Village in Lincolnshire
This is a driving tour of Moulton, located near Spalding in the South Holland District of Lincolnshire. Moulton features the All Saints Church, also known as the Queen of the Fens, as well as the Moulton Windmill. There used to be a castle, Moulton Castle, but nothing remains except for a mound and bits of the moat.
Visit to Moulton Windmill, Lincolnshire, 30/08/2012
This is a video made up of two smaller videos of my trip to Moulton Windmill in Lincolnshire with my Auntie, filmed on 30th August 2012. Standing at 100ft tall, Moulton Windmill is the tallest windmill in the country and was built in 1822 by Robert King. This was my first visit to this particular windmill and it was a fantastic place with a very detailed guided tour that lasted over an hour, and a brilliant little gift shop with reasonably priced gifts and souvenirs. Overall this was well worth a visit and I will be visiting them again one day. Filmed on a Fujifilm A235.

Springfields Garden Centre, Spalding - archive and modern video
Springfields - The Original DVD highlights from Primetime Video.
Rebuilt to an entirely new design, the present Springfields Garden Centre opened in 2004. But forty years previously, work had begun on the original Springfields which took nearly two years to build and opened to the public in 1966. Little remains of it now apart from the name and a continuing sense of civic pride in the vision and enterprise of those who brought it into being. But for over thirty years it was the principal showground for the British bulb industry, and proved to be a major attraction.
This special 40th Anniversary DVD tells the story of that earlier Springfields, using historic footage preserved in the Lincolnshire Film Archive.
Three separate films are included:
The Story of Springfields (32 minutes) - this features the transformation of a potato field into a breath-taking display of sping flowering bulbs. Every stage in the process is faithfully recorded, from the arrival of the surveyors in 1964 to the frantic last-minute preparations and the opening season in 1966. Narrated by James Robertson Justice.
Springtime at Springfields (13.5 minutes) - made in 1968, this reviews the various new developments which had taken place since the Opening two years earlier and includes scenes of the tulip fields and the Tulip Parade. Narrated by James Robertson Justice.
Spalding in Springtime (7 minutes) - a silent film made in 1975, which shows how much the Gardens had matured during their first decade.

The Boston Stump, Lincolnshire
The Sausage Lorry
Dave turned 60 in May and we took the waggon to Lincolnshire for a week to see some friends who have moved there. We did the flower show parade on the Sunday at Moulton Chapel, broke a half shaft on the way home, repaired it on Tuesday and was out on the road for Dave s birthday on the Wednesday. We went for a cruise on Thursday and Friday as well, clocking up 50 miles! Happy days!
